Feedback for Firehouse Subs Visit – August 24, 2025 at 2:45 PM
I’ve always been a loyal customer of Firehouse Subs, not just because the food is consistently good, but because I believe in supporting a business that gives back to first responders. However, my recent experience at this location left a lot to be desired.
When I walked in, I was greeted—or rather, not greeted—by the shift manager, Kourtnie. Her name tag indicated her role, but her attitude did not reflect any kind of leadership or customer service standards. She was cold, visibly annoyed, made little to no eye contact, and didn’t say a single word during the interaction. Her demeanor created an unwelcoming and uncomfortable atmosphere from the moment we stepped inside.
On the other hand, the two men making sandwiches were professional, friendly, and working hard to provide a great experience. They deserve credit for their attitude and effort—frankly, they were the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing visit.
The food was excellent, as expected. But the service at the front counter was unacceptable, especially coming from someone in a managerial role. If this location wants to keep customers coming back, a serious look needs to be taken at how guests are being treated the moment they walk...
Read moreFirst timer. Ordered two subs. The Italian sub was the worst Italian sub I had ever tasted. Couldn't eat it...in a word , it was "gross". Not sure what they put in it.... The other sub was a steak and cheese which was ok. $26 for two medium sub combos was steep. Especially since one sub was inedible. Tried the Chili as a side....it was awful. Just some cheap junk out of a can. The best part of the experience , sad to say , were the crackers that came with the chili. As we waited for our food to be brought to our table, an employee approached us and asked if we had enjoyed our meal. What meal? You didn't bring us our food yet.???...soon after , she brought it over but explained that they sold one of us the last chili and had to make more. We received the chili ten minutes after we got our subs. Place is a joke. I wouldn't recommend this sub shop to anyone. There is a Penn Station and a Jersey Mike's nearby , I find them both to be significantly better..... Oh, the worst part....during the entire time there appeared to be a manager or owner sitting in one of the back tables observing the whole experience. Good luck with your...
Read moreMy husband seems to be weirdly obsessed with eating at this restaurant. frequently when presented the option to eat somewhere in Fort Wayne he chooses Firehouse subs. I think that sub sandwiches are pretty mediocre but for those that love them this is a pretty good place to eat. They offer a selection of pre-made subs but they allow you to substitute different items. They offer a good selection of chips and they have a nice fountain machine that allows you to pick whatever kind of fountain drink you want. I did order a brownie and that seemed to be pretty stale and gross but otherwise my sandwich was delicious. They have a current promotion of the Jamaican jerk sub and that is what I tried and was completely happy. My kids enjoy the free fire hats and the kids meal is affordable. Six of us were able to eat...
