I remember when I was a kid I would visit this restaurant every other Saturday with my father. The waitresses were nice, the food was delicious, and the prices were cheap. I have made many memories at this location, so it pains me to see a restaurant that gives me such a rush of nostalgia begin to let the most common downfall of great locations.
Greed.
I used to be able to get extra sauce on my sandwich and a side of BBQ sauce for the fries (delicious combo) for free, but now just one of those is an extra 60 cents AND since raising the prices they've also lowered the amount you get. You now get a half full side of sauce for 60 cents. They also skimp on the barbecue on the burger, so you have to get extra to even notice its there.
They also must have fired their entire staff of friendly people because every person I've dealt with in the past couple months has had a hell of an attitude. Every single time. I used to joke and cut up with the people in the drive thru but now thats not possible. Today in particular when I asked for another side of BBQ because the one they handed me was less than half full, she makes me pay a separate transaction of 60 cents and gives me ANOTHER half full container, saying something like "the manager pre makes them the night before we cant control how much is in there," which should've instead been something like "im sorry sir, if yoy would like i can have one of the cooks add more to it."
The fries they gave me were then cold to top it all off. I know not to get a drink bx they're clearly taught fill it with ice then add a little bit of pop.
The food is still delicious but customers don't go to a restaurant just for the good food, they want a good experience as well. Every time I come here lately I am surprised in a less than positive way. I will most likely be going to the other one on the other side of town.

Read moreSunday night, not busy. Milkshake came without whipped cream. We were told that they were "out" of whipped cream. They were also out of spoons (all the spoons in the restaurant were dirty), so we were brought a tiny flimsy plastic spoon that is worthless for eating a milkshake. Then chili was served. A cup and a bowl were ordered. We were given two cups, and one more plastic spoon. We were told that that it was the very last spoon in the restaurant. We waited another 20 minutes before they were done washing the metal spoons, at which point we were given one soup spoon and one regular spoon and the chili was cold by that point. When the burgers and fries came, the fries were thicker fries than Steak and Shake normally serves. When we asked the server, her explanation was "Well, they've been that way all day." Finally, we asked to speak to a manager. The manager explained that they had run out of everything and so had gone to the grocery store to purchase fries and plastic spoons because they didn't have a dishwasher and so it took too long to wash the silverware. During the time we were there, three tables sat with dirty dishes and weren't cleaned. An employee came out with a broom and dustpan, however, she left the floor dirty and pulled chairs out all over the place, leaving the whole restaurant looking disheveled. We sat waiting for our bill when finally we noticed it had been thrown at the end of the table with no notice from the server. Our server and the manager we had spoken to rang up our bill and offered no further discount or apology, seeming to believe that the explanations and excuses were justification enough for the appalling service...
Read moreTo b clear, NOONE was in the restaurant when we place our order: 3 adult meals and 2 kids meals. Also, there was only 2 people working: The cook and the manager-who needs management training ASAP, but the manager was working drive-thur. I have NEVER been to a restaurant where you have to scan your receipt to get the drink machine to work. So after 5 mins to standing, the manager come out and ask for the receipt, then says; u can scan anyone 1-code to get it to work. The problem wit the QR codes, they limit the amount of drink you get and it doesn't give a refill, no matter how many times you scan the code...I scanned it more than 8 time, it only give me a little soda on the 1st scan and nothing else. The manager who makes eye contact wit me, I say:excuse me. He turns keeps doing what he's doing. I wait literally 10 mins, still no food. He-the manager, walks past me, give the Door dash lady her order, walks past me again to go back to filling drive thur orders. He NEVER ONCE acknowledged my presence, when he heard me saying excuse me! I will never come back. I hope this location goes out of business. This was my 1st time coming back in years. Service or lack there of is still the same.
Even if I scanned 1 of the kid's QR code, the kids aren't allowed refills? Cause the drink machine only worked once.... Why would 1 pay almost $50 for 5meals and no drink refill... Do better!! Chickfila would...
