Was visiting the Dallas area and decided to stop at Braums for a late lunch (about 3:30 pm on a weekday). Searched for Braums and maps led us here. What a nightmare! This Braums is in very close proximity to a high school/ junior high and we got there just as school was letting out for the day. First of all, traffic was awful, because most of the parents didn't even bother going to the school to pick up the kids. No, the kids walked across a 4-lane road with a grassy median that had no crosswalk and was not at an intersection to the BRAUMS to be picked up THERE. The parking lot and street in front of Braums was FULL of cars and of teens walking around, most looking down at phones and not paying attention to the cars at all. Because we'd already driven 15 minutes outside of our route to get there, we decided to try our luck. We were able to find a spot after a kid hopped in a car with his parent and they backed out of the tiny, narrow, cramped spots. Luckily we were in a small car, but even then I had trouble not dinging the car next to us. When we went in, I was not greeted by any employees, rather a melee of high school kids running around, horseplaying, and shouting across the shoebox sized dining room. Because we had a grumpy hungry toddler to feed, we ordered anyway. After telling the young lady at the register no pickles at least 7 times when I ordered, i began the search for a table. They were all taken, some were booths or 8 tops with only one or two kids at them. Baby on my hip, I approached one such table and politely asked the very nice young lady sitting quietly alone, peacefully reading her book if she minded a bit of company, and waved a hand at the chaos in the background. She smiled warmly and nodded yes. That was the best part about the place. Our quiet new friend was so sweet! Once the food arrived, I had to turn right around and get my burgers remade. The pickles. It took over 10 minutes just to get fresh ones made. By then, my fries were cold and the toddler was getting antsy. We left, but first went through the drive thru (which was very fast, accurate, and friendly!) for a milkshake for the 2 hour trip home.. moral of the story? Time your visit carefully, and choose the drive though. The food and the milkshake both tasted...
Read moreWent to this store today 8/17/2019 and all I can say is this team clearly needs better communication skills with customers. I waited for about 10 mins to have my order taken with no one else in line. A young man with a green apron and another man with a blue apron both had seen me but did not take my order. They were conversations by the shake machine and the assistant manager by the name of CJ (green apron) was on his cell phone. Clearly avoiding eye contact. Another young lady had came close to the register so I asked if anyone was taking orders. CJ had thought I was already helped which was understandable and i made my order anyway. After my order was taken I asked how much for the brownie portion of the brownie sundae that the man in the blue apron who’m did not have name tag. and the man in the blue apron told me 50 c to which I had said okay I got it. Then proceeded to do other activity as if he didn’t hear my request. So I asked a young lady there who might have been the cook if she can ring me up since blue apron man was busy. She said I was “gonna have to wait until he finished” and I asked you don’t know how to ring up orders? to which she replied “no I don’t” so I asked yet another person for help, a young lady at the drive they area if she could ring me up and by this time blue apron man, again who’m was not wearing a name tag came up and had a rude tone of voice telling me he is the only person doing everything, as if ringing up a brownie was a major issue. A simple press of the misc button and selecting brownie on the menu screen on their computer register would have been done in a flash. Had he told me that he was taking care of another customer at the moment and would be with me after, I would have had a clear understanding. But instead I was met with rudeness and an attitude. Therefore I waited a total of 25 mins for something that should have been 10 at the most. I get that you’re up and down especially at the job, but I worked at this very same location and I know for a fact that more communication was obviously needed here. I mean, what if I was a secret shopper? Then they would have been graded poorly and the Store manager has to bear that poor grade. To sum it up, this store needs to get...
Read moreAfter going to the local Kroger this evening, I decided to go to Braum’s for dinner. Because I had groceries in the car I chose the Drive Thru…. WHAT A MISTAKE!! I pulled up there were 5 cars in front of me and 3 or 4 having already ordered in line. I waited 25 minutes to get to the menu. I ordered 2 Number 1 combos, 1 with diet and the other with regular coke (Nothing Special). Another 10 minutes I make it to the window. I pay for my order $14.92, am handed my drinks and am asked to pull forward….My receipt was printed at 8:10 pm, and I received my order at 8:26 pm. 41 minutes from start to finish for 2 burgers fries and cokes. The staff was rude at the window, and the girl who finally brought my order out to me practically threw my wadded up bag at me and turned and left without saying a thing! As I pulled away, I grabbed a fry, it was cold and hard!
Need I say more? They are slow, the food quality is very bad, and customer service is non-exsistant! It had been awhile since my last trip to Braum’s, and it was in Arlington on Park Row. Their service was slow, but everything else was acceptable. I attempted to call the store tonight on my drive home 4 times. No answer. I will try again tomorrow. $15 on food that was too cold to enjoy, on top of the way I was treated…. I want to make sure the manager is made aware…. Even though, my expectations for any acccountability is extremely low, it is worth letting them know, that they have managed to lose at least a dozen people I know as a customer for life. Wish you well if you decide to Risk your money at...
