My mom and I were in town for a concert and picked Fort Redemption because the pictures made it look fun and inviting. We did not look at the menu before we went, and were a little disappointed that there were very few items on the menu. The prices for meals at dinner time started at $18 for the burger and jump up to a $32 steak.
We both got the burger and it was to die for!!! We ordered the jalapeño mac & cheese and brussel sprouts. The owner told us they used to be a food truck and are still working out the kinks on the Mac n cheese. We ended up replacing the mac & cheese with some Mushrooms and they were divine and the brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked.
With dinner we had lemon drop martinis. Very well made, great flavor, and the icing on the cake was they being the frosted glass to your table and pour the drink in from of you.
The burger and sides were very hearty portions and we didn’t leave room for dessert, but we will definitely come back if we are in the area.
EDITED: two weeks ago I went back with my husband and it was just as delicious! We also had the burger and Brussel sprouts. The espresso martini is to die for and they make a mean old fashioned! Finished off with the banana pudding, couldn’t have been a...
Read moreOriginally on our list but expedited after a friend's referral with glowing reviews. Dish 1: a 16oz ribeye with mashed spuds and an extra side of asparagus. Dish 2: rack of lamb with mushrooms. Desserts: banana pudding and flan. The ribeye was seasoned to perfection with bourbon cream sauce which is a supercool combination. For the record, the ribeye easily stood on its own as one of the best and somehow this bourbon cream still found a way to lift this high quality protein a notch. The rack if lamb was no traditional lamb, its Texas seasoned and fire grilled. Move aside you amateurs as this rack of lamb is fit for the gods. Paired with either the red wine demi or bourbon cream sauce. Red wine demi for tradition, but branch out as the bourbon cream successfully elevates the lamb further than its traditional red wine partner. The made in-house desserts are fantastic. These treats will soften the hardest critics of post meal indulgences. The service is some of the best you will encounter in Fort Worth. They know the menu, they know the processes, they know the flavors, and they know the textures. What are you waiting for? You will not be...
Read moreWe have been to Fort Redemption with many friends going on 9-10 times now I’ve had nothing but spectacular food and service. If you are a Ridgmar or West side resident you owe it to yourself to try this and support this great new restaurant. Its fine semi casual dinning just what our area 76116, 76107 etc is lacking. This is not a warm up some food from Ben E Keith or Cisco junk food its handmade fresh and great. We have so few good options this is the newest & the best of them. I don’t eat normally eat cooked salmon, but every else has gotten it with me has enjoyed and many said the best they have ever had. I even liked it. I’ve had the Seabass, the ribeye the tenderloin and I regularly get the rack of lamb . Absolutely spectacular. Lots of good sides a full bar and three BIG well placed TVs above the bar for those of you who must have something to watch! Must try must...
