When we arrived, one of the staff members told my wife that they were out of veggie patties and asked if she wanted something else. Since we don’t eat meat, she declined. That immediately made me wonder—did they only have one veggie patty left? So, I opened my bag (which was sealed and taped shut) and found a regular beef burger inside — even though my receipt clearly said “veggie burger.”
That’s not just a mistake; that’s concerning. It looked and smelled like meat, and someone had taped the bag shut as if hoping I wouldn’t notice. I asked about it, and the manager told me to request a refund through the app, saying the store “doesn’t have the capability” to process refunds because they’re new. I tried using the app but couldn’t find a refund option. The manager said she’d contact her store manager to handle it — but it’s been three months, and I’ve heard absolutely nothing and never got my money back.
This was my first and only experience with Freddy’s, and it left a terrible impression. Mistakes happen, but accountability matters. It took about 3 minutes for both to leave. But when I got to the second window, everything came to a halt! I got got to the window and was asked my name and was asked what the order was. I told her that I ordered a cookie custard sandwich and one scoop of vanilla custard. She walked away and NEVER came back. I beckoned another person to come to the window. I told her my order and asked how long did it take to get two items. She said that they are waiting for the custard machine to freeze the cream, but never once did anyone tell me there would be a delay. The lady was about to leave when I asked for the manager. She said, "Oh, I'm one." I asked her to get the Black man that is in manager attire. When he came, I showed him my receipt. He apologized and the young lady who asked for my order and name walked up behind the manager, went into the small freezer on the counter and pulled out BOTH items and gave it to the manager to give to me. I was livid!!! For 7 minutes she walked all around the area, talking to other workers and my order was RIGHT THERE ALL ALONG!!!
