I, for some reason, really like chick-fil-aâs iced coffee. I usually order the original, but with no syrup and with more coffee than milk. Itâs a pretty simple order. Just original coffee, no syrups/sweeteners, and less milky. I made sure when I was ordering it this time that I was heard loud and clear. I was also polite about modifying it. The person taking my order even repeated my order back to me while she typed the instructions in, somewhat reassuring me that it was going to be made correctly.
Although I like their original iced coffee, Iâm always nervous ordering it because every single time, without fail, they look at me like Iâm crazy and like this is a super complicated order when itâs not, and this isnât me being rude. Iâm just genuinely perplexed and somewhat amused. Iâm not doing anything crazy to it, I just donât want it sweetened. Sometimes when I emphasize that I donât want it sweetened and they reassure me that it wonât be, and I double check with them as theyâre handing it to me, I take a sip once I drive away and itâs sweet. Itâs not always this location that does this, but just chick-fil-a in general. Maybe thereâs a global conspiracy on unsweetened iced coffee đ¤
Anyway, what they gave me this time was essentially just a cup of milk. The reason why I like chick-fil-aâs iced coffees is because theyâre pretty strong on their own. I like the milk just to cut it a bit, but these people arenât baristas, so I just say to add less milk and have there be more coffee. Iâm someone that happens to like that crude oil bean juice straight up.
I was really disappointed (not mad) because I was having the roughest day at work and all I wanted was an iced coffee with more coffee than milk and no sweetener and they just dropped the ball on such a simple order. I shouldâve said something when I noticed how light the color of the coffee was, but I didnât want to be that person making a big stink in the drive-thru. I definitely shouldâve said something though, because I made myself clear on what I wanted and itâs like they purposely made it the opposite.
Oh well! Letâs see if I can order it again in the future and have it made correctly. I should try another way of saying it.
âCan I have an iced coffee with just a splash of milkâ, maybe.
Or, perhaps, âwhoever fills my coffee with more milk than whatâs logically allowed based on the instructions Iâve given you, will be banned from ever being considered based.â
Iâll try...
Read moreI am extremely frustrated with the consistently poor service at this Chick-fil-A. This morning's experience was the final straw.
In attempt to minimize the habitually long wait times for my mobile orders at this location, I always inform them I have arrived immediately after placing my order. Despite this, todayâs experience was not different.
At 6:48 AM, I placed a mobile order for a simple large hash brown and an iced coffee. Despite only ONE car being in the drive-thru and ONE person inside, I was completely ignored at the mobile order pickup counter. While one manager was assisting another customer (which is understandable), the other manager and an additional employee offered no acknowledgement of my presence. It was particularly irritating to then witness an employee take an order from a walk-in customer while I stood waiting.
I waited while three drive-thru customers received their orders and left. I finally received my uncomplicated order at 6:57 AM, nearly ten minutes after placing it, and with only one customer waiting inside. The fact that a basic order of a hash brown and an iced coffee took almost ten minutes under these circumstances is baffling. At this point, what is the purpose of placing a mobile order when it consistently results in wait times longer than ordering in the drive-thru or directly at the counter??
Chick-fil-A used to be my favourite fast food restaurant, but the repeated negative experiences at this location have significantly diminished my visits. While this location was once convenient, I now prefer to travel further to avoid the consistently subpar service here.
It is evident that THIS Chick-fil-A has fundamental problems with both efficiency and customer service, and it is damaging to the Chick-fil-A brand and has resulted in the loss of a formerly very...
Read moreLet me start by saying, we love chick fil a. We frequent many of the locations around DFW, but we have had consistent issues with this location. Either the food is wrong, it takes 10 to 20 min to get your food, or the food tastes like it was made an hour before I arrive. I have even tried to order on the app to avoid the 10 to 20 minute wait. Today I ordered ahead, got to the drive through and only had 2 cars in front. Told them my order and by the time I got to the window there was only 1 car and their order was out in less than 2 minutes.
I had to sit at the window for 5 minutes before they asked me to go around as my grilled chicken wasn't ready yet. She said only 2 more minutes. 5 minutes later I went inside. Told the manager I was waiting on my order still and she had to proceed to tell the kitchen who acted like they didn't even know about my order. From the time I arrived to when I left it was almost 20 minutes.
To make matters worse, the hashbrowns that we ordered tasted like they had been recooked to heat and were so stale, we threw them away. Huge waste of our time, our money, and we were late with the unexpected 20 minute delay. Manager didn't seem to even care. She handed the good and said...
