My wife and I were super excited to give this place a try, and it was honestly a massive letdown. Bad enough, I think it's one and done for us. We ordered the recommended combo platter with lamb, chicken, and rice. We also ordered a classic gyro with feta fries. It does not bode well for a restaurant when the only thing I'd actually consider ordering again are the French fries. The chicken was so dry you could hardly swallow it, and the lamb was the toughest, most underseasoned Greek "style" lamb I've ever had. Rice was meh, salad was meh, and the tzatziki was what I can only describe as "generic chain/walmart level tzatziki." Gyro was at best 4/10, with a very stale pita. Also, the food was barely warm when it was served to us. The real kicker about this place is that it is NOT cheap at all. Food court quality food, for higher than some local (and MUCH better) actual Mediterranean restaurants. The Chipolte of Mediterranean food across the street does it better by far honestly 😬 Only giving them 2 stars because the employees we interacted with were very friendly, and the wait was not...
Read moreI had a great experience at this Mediterranean restaurant! The staff was friendly, very helpful, and knowledgeable. I went in asking for their suggestions and was very impressed by their response. As someone who doesn’t get Mediterranean food often, I found the meal to be well worth the $45 I spent.
The tirokafteri appetizer was a standout—creamy with a nice little kick—and the pita bread was warm and tasted great. The steak souvlaki was nicely seasoned with a hint of lemon and cooked exactly as I ordered (medium-rare). The fries were also well-seasoned and not overly salty. The pita bread with tzatziki dipping sauce was excellent.
For dessert, I got the dessert sampler, which included three different options. One of them was Mom’s rice pudding—not my favorite, but still very good. It had a sweetness similar to apple pie but wasn’t overly sweet. The baklava tasted like a baklava bar—good, but not the standout for me. The baklava ice cream, however, was my favorite.
Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would definitely...
Read moreWe were excited to try this Greek restaurant and had high hopes. We ordered the classic Greek salad, the Great Greek gyro with chicken, and the lamb souvlaki. The salad was fresh, and the flavors were good overall.
However, we had a few disappointments. The lamb in the souvlaki was served nearly raw and visibly bloody inside. We asked for it to be recooked, and while the staff did take it back, some pieces still came out undercooked (see photo). Also, no one asked how we preferred the meat cooked, which could have avoided the issue.
The chicken gyro had decent flavor, but there wasn’t much chicken in it, and we expected the sauce to have a stronger garlic flavor—it was quite mild.
That said, the restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly and attentive...
