Visited on 5/31, Went with a party of 24, called ahead for reservations. Only had a few tables when we were sat. Took an hour and a half for everyone to get their food, we kept being told its being worked on. I was one of the first to order but the next to last to get my plate which was a catfish poboy....took almost 30 mins to figure out the tickets, and after all that fish was burnt, no flavor on it, no flavor on the tenders. Only thing that was good was the fries and espresso martini. In the end with only a 15% discount, our bill was $170 for 5 people, with gratuity. Which would be ok but I didn't eat half my food, no salt, and my plate was in front of me at 9:25pm, we sat down at 8:15pm. As a GM, I would have been required to comp anything that took over 20 mins, (Gus's Fried Chicken FTW/Dallas), and would have been on my line cooks behind about it. But there was no sense of urgency from the cooks to the manager, server tried her best, but if they don't cook the food then they can't serve it. Other tables got their food and left that came in 40 mins after we did, no excuse. Tickets must be cooked first come, first serve, this was a disappointment as the one in Dallas was so good we chose to try the new one in FTW. Never again, now I understand they are new, but the Mgr should have been at the expo, pushing these cooks, no accountability! Lmk if y'all need a new one, I'd be glad to...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came here for the first time, and was looking forward to an experience. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, while undecided on what seafood entrée to pick. We got our drinks and was waiting on our appetizer. I noticed our waiter pick some food from a basket in the window and walk into the kitchen nonchalantly to eat... not thinking anything of it, I assumed she may have been pregnant or had a health condition and needed something right quick. What was unbelievable was that she served us that basket of calamari That She Ate From! When she served it, I looked at her and said "...oh, this is our basket??" And she replied "yes" with a smile. In disbelief after letting my boyfriend know, he too confirmed seeing her eat something on the way. Not knowing if maybe she was under the influence of something, we didn't make a fuss, but rather asked for the bill for our two drinks only - She knew she was caught in the act... she didn't ask "why" or "what happened", she simply replied with "okay"... When the bill arrived for our two drinks, I made a note of the concern on the receipt, because this was totally unacceptable. Her being smooth with it, tells me this was not her first time. And here we are with a public review. I give one star for the drinks...
Read moreI'm not one to write negative reviews but I'm still upset days later and since this is a new spot, I figured it needs to be said. If a server messes up your order, it should be fixed or comped. Our server read back the order and had it wrong, I corrected her and when we got the order it was still wrong, we had twice the amount of shrimp. Mind you this place is NOT cheap. They don't post their market prices and a lb of crab (2 clusters) being $50 is INSANE.. anyways.. we got twice the amount of shrimp and I thought it looked like a lot so I asked if it was 1 lb or two and she admitted it was 2 and she messed up. We offered her to take it back so they could remove half but she left it. Then when it came time to pay, she didn't let us see the bill. She just shoved the already totaled iPad in our face and I said, "does this include the extra lb of shrimp?" and as she's taking my card and swiping it, SHE SAYS YES! Didn't even bother to remove the mistake and we had to pay for it? Are you kidding me? What kind of service is that? I think she was afraid to admit to the manager she messed up. $21 lb of shrimp after tax and tip comes out to an extra $30 on a bill.. WILD! We won't be back. The food was good but not $160 for two...
