I'm not sure what kind of business strategy Chipotle pushes down to its employees, but it's clearly not " keep our customers happy and coming back"!
I used to think bad service existed at specific locations, but now I see that it's universal.
Over a year ago, I vowed not to spend my hard earned money at Chipotle, and I've held to that. Fortunately for Chipotle, my wife is built differently and accepts poor service.
My wife didn't feel like cooking, and the kids wanted Chipotle. We placed an order through the app for the Chipotlane.
My wife returned home and immediately brought the food to me to look at. The bowls were pathetic, especially considering we just spent $60 for dinner.
I grabbed one specific bowl and went back to Chipotle. When I got to the window, the manager looked at the bowl and asked what was wrong with it. I held back what flooded my brain and asked him if he would present this bowl to his mom, wife, or kids. He said no. I then asked him if that's the case, why would you think it would be OK for me to accept it. He said it must have tipped over, so I played along.
I told him to look my order up and see that we paid extra for meat and queso and asked him to look at the bowl again. He did and just asked if I would like him to make it over. I told him that was the first thing he'd said that I could relate to.
Meanwhile, the girl in making the bowls for the chipotlane looked and just shook her head as if she couldn't believe someone was returning her work.
They replaced the bowl, and I said thank you but added that I hope people will realize how bad Chipotle is and stop dining there. Perhaps when all of their jobs are threatened and the doors are about to close... just maybe they'll get it.
Give your customers what they pay for. Do not skimp on their plates, but make bowls with mounds of food for your family and friends. If you're reading this, you know it's true!
There are other lotions out there, and I don't believe Chipotle understands that!!!!
Should I have to delay dinner, go back to Chipotle, and have them remake an order???? No!!!!

Read moreI placed a drive thru pick up order on 3-14 . The pick up was late and rather close to closing (9:20pm) my husband had to make a stop before he got the food so he arrived at 950pm. Well he gets the food home and I pull out our meals. My burrito was half ate and half wrapped. I was furious and disgusted, I jumped in the car and drove back .I arrived at 10pm and went inside. All of the workers just stared at me and then the manager came out. He sacred shocked that I would even bring it to them and basically insinuated that I probably ate it .why I would decide half way through my meal to run back to chipotle and accuse someone of eating my food , idk. The accusation was insane , he didn’t offer a refund or to make it again (I realize they were closing down ,so I didn’t expect that) after saying “we don’t take bites of food” he told me I could come back tomorrow for a remake. It was such a dry and unprofessional encounter for something so insane! What type of people are working here that they would eat a customers food and still send it to them? Read moreCustomer service here blows. The employees never seem happy, never smile, are never personable. I've picked up food in the Chipotlane a few times and each time I have to sit at the window for several minutes before I'm even Acknowledged. I see the employees look at me but they just ignore.. its really not that hard to say "Hello, we will be right with you!" Then once they answer its so blunt and short- "Name?" And a bag handed to me and the window closed.
I worked at Chipotle many many years ago and their standards for customer service were actually annoyingly high and there was always a manager on duty to keep employees in check. I just can't believe this Chipotle has such bad customer service.
Also they and every other Chipotle runs out of food at like 8pm. Why be open till 9/10pm if you aren't going to prep enough food. And if you place a mobile/online order and your food can't be made or you need a refund GOOD LUCK. No one in the store can do it, you have to go out of your way to contact their customer support then wait a few business days for...
