Incredible dinner at Ko Thai – a must-visit! We had dinner at Ko Thai and were blown away by the experience. Even though they’ve only been open a month, this spot is already a standout. We had a reservation (thankfully!), as the place filled up quickly not long after we arrived. Right away, you’re struck by the amazing ambiance—rich red tones, dramatic lighting, and beautiful statues create a warm, elegant vibe that still feels fun and inviting. The staff was outstanding—incredibly attentive and welcoming without hovering. We started with four appetizers, and each one was a hit visually and flavor-wise: Cream Cheese – Beautifully presented like little golden purses, perfectly crisp and paired with a sweet chili dipping sauce. Fresh Salad Rolls – Packed with crisp veggies, served with both creamy peanut and sweet chili sauces. Super fresh and satisfying. Chicken Satay – Tender, perfectly grilled skewers with a flavorful curry marinade, served with classic peanut sauce and refreshing cucumber. Curry Puffs – Flaky, layered pastry filled with savory chicken, sweet potato, and warm curry spices. A bite-sized burst of comfort. We shared a bottle of Pinot Noir from their surprisingly solid wine list—served chilled and a great complement to the spice and depth of the apps. For our main course, we went with the Yellow Curry with Jasmine Rice. It was creamy, perfectly spiced, and loaded with tender chicken, onion, and potato. Comforting and full of flavor without being too heavy. Everything about this meal was delightful. From the food to the decor to the service, Ko Thai is clearly putting in the work to get it right. We can’t wait to go back and try even more from the menu. Pro tip: Make a reservation—they’re gaining popularity fast, and for good reason!

Our family had the pleasure of dining at Ko Thai Restaurant on Magnolia Street for the first time, and we were treated to a truly warm and inviting experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with bright smiles and a welcoming warmth that set the tone for a fantastic evening. The wine list and drink menu were impressive, offering a range of options to complement the delicious Thai cuisine. Our appetizers were decent, and we can't wait to explore more of their offerings on future visits. The real highlight of our meal was the opportunity to try some of Ko Thai's signature dishes, proudly listed as "Our Pride" on the menu. The E San classic chicken was a flavorful delight, and the Crying Tiger steak was tender and mouthwatering, with a dipping sauce that perfectly enhanced the medium-cooked flank. The Thai-style papaya salad was rich and vibrant, although I would give it a 3.5 out of 5 – it's clear that Ko Thai has its own unique twist, but I've had similar dishes elsewhere that have blown me away. Overall, I'd give the food 4 stars for now – we're excited to try more dishes and see how they stack up. However, the service was absolutely top-notch, earning a well-deserved 5 stars. Our server was attentive, personable, and made sure we felt right at home. If you're looking for a authentic Thai experience with a side of warm hospitality, Ko Thai Restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We can't wait to go back and explore more of what they have to offer 😀

We were really looking forward to trying this Thai restaurant, as we’re frequent Thai food eaters and love exploring new spots. Unfortunately, our experience was a bit disappointing. We ordered takeout for dinner, and while the staff was friendly and the food was ready on time, several things fell short. The chicken fried rice lacked flavor and needed more seasoning or sauce. We were happy the rice to-go container was full. The yellow curry had a delicious flavor, but it was missing the carrots that were listed on their online menu. On top of that, the portion was only half full even though it cost $17, which didn’t feel worth the price. The Thai tea was excellent — creamy and flavorful — but it was filled with mostly ice, so there wasn’t much tea to enjoy. I should have asked for light ice. Overall, while the flavors were mostly enjoyable, the lack of flavor in the fried rice, missing ingredients in the curry, and small portions made it a bit of a disappointing experience. We may try it again, but not sure if it stands out enough to pay the extra amount comparatively. I will say just walking into the restaurant to pick up the food, it is a lovely decorated restaurant and the staff was kind.

We visited this new Thai restaurant on a Friday 05/23 around 4:30 PM and were the only customers when we walked in. The place was empty, so we expected a relaxed, welcoming experience. The food arrived quickly—within 10 minutes—and was genuinely good. Unfortunately, what could have been a great visit was completely overshadowed by unprofessional and unnecessarily rushed service.

I finished my meal in about 15 minutes, while my wife was still eating and I was feeding milk to our 8 month old baby. To our surprise, the waitress brought over the check without us asking—while we were clearly still eating and attending to our child. It felt pushy and abrupt. Soon after, she began hovering near our table, checking repeatedly to see if we had paid, even though we had been there for barely 25–30 minutes. It felt like we were being hurried out, which was incredibly rude and uncomfortable.

The final straw was having to pause feeding our baby just to put down my card because the pressure was that intense. The moment I did, the waitress rushed over to take it—further reinforcing that we were clearly being rushed for no reason. And when I calmly shared how disappointed I was with the way we were treated, she gave a half-hearted justification about needing to “clear the table,” despite the restaurant still being nearly empty. No apology. No attempt to understand our side.

What made it even worse? The manager witnessed the interaction and did absolutely nothing. No apology, no acknowledgment, not even a simple check-in. It was clear that customer comfort and satisfaction were not a priority for this place.

This restaurant is new, and while the food shows promise, the service was among the most disrespectful we’ve encountered. Rushing out guests—especially a family with a baby, during off-peak hours—is unacceptable. Until they learn how to treat customers with basic respect, we won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to...
