Iâve been eating at Mamaâs for YEARS ever since I was a kid, but after my most recent experience, I will NEVER, and I mean NEVER EVER, eat at Mamaâs again. This place is absolutely disgusting and has completely changedâitâs not how it used to be.
The pizza isnât the same anymore. Itâs always piled with a HUGE amount of cheese that just slips right off when you pick up a slice. Thereâs never any garlic butter on the crust anymoreâitâs always dry. Theyâre greedy with the toppings and barely give you any. Theyâre scamming their customers with those insane prices. I mean, $15 for a buffet is NOT worth it. They never have pizzas on the warmer for the buffet, and when they do, the pizzas are always cold and undercooked. The bottom is never golden brown; itâs always white and doughy. The salad toppings are never replaced, and I even found mold on the cheese.
I went to make a request to the counter girl, as they didnât have the pizza I liked on the warmer. When I tried to ask, she completely ignored me and was too busy on her phone. I asked three times before I finally got her attention. Even then, she had a nasty attitude and told me they donât take requestsâeven though, during a visit a couple of weeks prior, I was allowed to make a request.
I then asked to speak to the manager, who I believe is named Brian. He was completely rude and had an attitude that didnât match his height. As I was going back and forth with him, I saw a ROACH crawling on the employee handwashing sink. This wasnât the first time Iâve seen roaches here, but I had hoped theyâd get the issue under control. Clearly, they havenât.
The staff consists mostly of teenagers who are obviously addicted to their phones and have terrible attitudes. The cooks are NOT cleanâthey donât wash their hands or wear gloves. As I was walking to the bathroom, I caught a glimpse of the kitchen. It was also filthy, with trash and scraps of dough scattered all over the floor. The walls were dirty, with red sauce smeared on them. Half the time, thereâs no soap in the restroom, so how is anyone supposed to wash their hands properlyâjust with water?
Overall, this place is nothing like it used to be. It has been overrun by unprofessional teenagers and poor management. From my understanding, certain locations are franchised. I strongly believe that Jordan Scott should make a surprise visit to the Bryant Irvin location, inspect the kitchen, and provide training to the management and staff because their customer service...
Read moreDo yourself a favor, dont go here. New staff aren't friendly OR clean. I'm wondering if this is still owned by the original owners. I get turnover, but cleanliness is a must. Mind you, I'm 40 and have eaten at mamas my entire life(All locations)I know what to expect here. The quality of the pizza has decreased from the amount of toppings to the way they cook it. Ours was totally dried out, and there was not a good amount of toppings per usual. The new cook (im guessing) had a not so pleasant smell and dirty hands, rubbed through his oily hair the entire time he talked to me about not being able to honor a coupon on my phone. (One they have honored for at least 10 years) All I could think was bro, you won't have to worry about me after this. Lol. The time prior to that, there was an older lady there that id never seen acting as if she was clueless about even having a coupon. Also, wouldn't honor anything without me producing it which is fine if thats the way they want it to work now but to act clueless about it is another level. Mind ya, I eat here minimum 3 times a Month for no fewer than for 10 years. (THIS location). Anyway, I got to my mom's today and she says, I bought a mamas pizza, but I'm trashing it. I can't trust it. Lol đ I never shared my story with her but she verbatim said their was a young guy who came up from the back, she also assumed he was the cook. Said his finger nails were soo dirty, and he rubbed through his hair so much and didnt want to honor her coupon. We feel like our pizza will make me sick because hes not operating with clean hands. Needless to say, they are blaming the current manager for the coupon change which isn't major.... but at the end of the day, it WILL drive LOYAL Customers away for lack of cleanliness and PROFESSIONALISM. Most people just want to be able to purchase food as we have many years now, minus a game about a coupon. Previously, on many occasions my phone was dead and I was thankful for the kind faces that said, let me get it for you. THATS TAKING CARE OF LOYAL CUSTOMERS.That creates a culture around your business for repetitive transactions. I know because, i also am a business owner We're a family of 4 different household's. We all eat there and spend hundreds a month and we're gone. We're are looking to replace our favorite pizza place. Do better. I don't know how to contact the owners, so I just decided to leave a message here. Don't allow a manager and uncleanliness to ruin a...
Read moreI love mamaâs pizza but every time i go to this location on a weekday for buffet there is never any fresh pizza out. This is my third time coming on my hour lunch break and i never get my moneys worth on the buffet, i usually have to leave bc my lunch break is over and i donât even get to eat much. I try to give it a chance just to see if it was just a bad day but this is the third time. I used to work at a pizza place thaat had buffet and we made sure to keep the pizzas fresh and do a couple pepperonis, cheese, pepp and jalepeno, veggge, and a meet lover. Especially pepperoni bc that mostly everyoneâs go to. When i went today, there was a pepperoni pizza with four slices, a meat lover, and two others that i didnât care for and it looked like no other customers had touched bc they were probably looking out for fresh pizzas. I asked the cashier as sooon as she rang me up if they could put a fresh pepperoni out and she said âi think it should be coming outâ we waited 10 min and nothing but the salad kept getting stocked. Once the cashier walked to the salad bar, I asked her if theyâre putting more pizzas and she said âi think they were supposed to let me go check.â At this time there were more customers coming in and all they can go to was the salad. If we wanted to go eat a salad, we wouldâve went to a salad Buffett. ONE Pepperoni pizza was finally added 30 min after we had gotten seated. Once it was placed out there a few people lined up to get some fresh pizza, but by that time the pizza was almost already gone that they had just put out there. Iâm just writing this to say You know that lunchtime is from 12 to one for most businesses then why not keep it stocked and fresh because some people are there for a quick bite to eat especially if theyâre coming on their lunch break and need...
