This place has a lot of potential! The atmosphere was really inviting and the staff were all friendly. However, we did experience a bit of a wait. Even though we arrived for Sunday brunch and were seated fairly quickly, it took about 45 minutes to get our food. My cinnamon swirl pancakes were tasty, though the texture was a bit gritty. The sugary icing was an interesting touch - very sweet and watery. I'm not sure it added much to the overall flavor. On the plus side, the pancakes were huge! I do wish they came with a side of bacon or eggs to offset the sweetness a bit, especially at that price point. The gyro skillet was a mixed bag. The gyro meat itself was well-seasoned and the flavors were balanced nicely with the tomatoes and feta cheese. I really appreciated the freshness those ingredients brought to the dish. Unfortunately, some of the protein was charred and gave the dish a bitter taste that detracted from the other flavors. The scrambled eggs were nice and moist, though. A few other things worth mentioning: they offer gluten-free toast, which is a nice option to have. The coffee was standard, nothing to write home about. But the orange juice was fantastic – tasted freshly squeezed! Service was friendly, but I wasn't offered refills on my water or orange juice. The total for the meal was around $40, which felt a little much given the amount of food. Overall, I'd give this place another shot. There are some kinks to work out, but the atmosphere and friendly service make it worth revisiting. I'll be sure to try some of their other dishes next time.

Post hike breakfast spot - last min choice since it was 5 mins away and our kids were starving. I noticed the reviews weren’t great but as a foodie, we were going to give it a shot. Quickly greeted and seated - one of the 2 positive things. 4 of us in the group - I did not order a plate but had a taste of everyone’s plate. OJ machine from fresh squeezed oranges was awesome. With a hefty price tag of $6 a glass (whew). Coffee and hot chocolate (which tasted out of a bag) Long wait for food - nearly 35 mins after ordering and the pancake took an additional 15 mins!! French toast, chicken fried steak, and chicken & waffles. Everything was tasteless. The kiddo who loves chicken was disappointed they were tenders rather a chicken type patty. Breading was gross - no flavor, just tasted like grease. Same for the chicken fried steak. Scrambled eggs were a bit watery and the pancake was just awful. Flat, not fluffy, rubbery and tasteless. The price tag for the food was so not worth it. One kiddo gave a 2 out of 10 stars, the other gave a 4. The husband asked we never return. Service was nothing special. Never were checked on while waiting forever for the food. After the food, maybe twice and had the opportunity for a coffee refill. Overall not worth $70 to us, unfortunately.

Waited over 30 minutes for food. Once food arrived hash browns were not cooked and the BLT had 2 slices of bacon TOTAL. This BLT is served with a piece of bread in the middle like a club, one would think the bread to bacon ratio would be better. Service was stretched thin, not. The servers fault. After she delivered food she didn’t come back to check on us for 15 minutes at minimum. When she asked how the food was I told her not good and she did zero service recovery and brought us our bill. My husband and I both worked in the restaurant industry for several years not hard to fix issues if handled correctly. This was our second time here first time wasn’t horrible but not amazing either but we wanted to give it another shot due to location… save your money and your time! So sad cause this could be great for the area if food and service were better.

I've been coming here for many years now. I have read some of the reviews and wanted to leave one of my own, mainly to help set the record straight.

First, let's address "the wait." This is a small, family-owned restaurant. The main reason why sometimes you'll experience a little bit of a wait is because they appear to be popular. And, why are they popular? Because the food is good. As a customer, you should be more concerned when a place is small AND empty. That's when you should be running for the exits. Now that you know this, go expecting a little bit of a wait.

Second, the food. The food is great in my opinion; particularly the coffee. If you're a coffee person, such as me, you will come here just for the coffee. 😋 Then there's the freshly-squeezed orange juice. You won't get either of these things around this area. I challenge you to point a place with better coffee and OJ. I've lived around here for almost 20 years and I haven't found it yet. As someone mentioned in one of the reviews, the pancakes are MASSIVE. And they are great. In fact, much better than places where "pancake" is on their name.

Three, the staff. They are awesome people. They can't be more friendly. If you care about supporting the local community, these are the people you would want to support. Because I do, I try to come here at least once a month. Do the math. I have been coming here about once a month for a few years now. I have seen them at their best and at their worst. Just about everything you read on the bad reviews I have experienced: ridiculously long waits... food not coming out to my liking... wrong order... name it, I've seen it. The real question is, "Is this typical of the place?" I can assure you, it is not. That's why I have been coming here often and for that long. The staff is great, but they are human. They will mess up your order from time to time. They'll get overwhelmed and take a long time to seat you. They might even burn your food sometimes. But those things are rare. Most likely, you'll have a great...

The food was fair not great by any means, this was our second time at this restaurant. The first time was pretty good mainly because we had a great waitress. The waitress that we had this time didn't seem to really know we were alive. My wife had to call her from across the restaurant to bring her some coffee two different times (strange). I drank my glass of milk and set The empty Glass by the edge of the table and our waitress walked by it probably 15 different times or more during the course of 30 minutes and never offered to bring me another glass of milk. When I asked her about it at the end of the service all she said was that milk doesn't come with a refill, I told her I didn't expect a refill I would have happily paid for another glass of milk but she should have at least came to the table and offered. She saw The empty Glass sitting there every time she walked by and never said a word. She was very plain-faced never smile never offered a friendly gesture or ask us if we needed anything. On the way out the only other woman that was working there was standing at the hostess stand watch us walk by, and never said thanks for coming have a nice day or anything. No words no gestures. Very odd place. I hope the owner is rich because at this rate they won't get very much repeat business. There are too many good restaurants in lake Worth....
