CAVA — Restaurant in Saginaw

It was our first time there, and my wife was very skeptical. I got the Greek salad and it was good. I asked for the regular menu item, except for olives, and they accommodated my special request. Each bowl comes with a certain number of 'dips' standard, and you can ask for these to come on the side if you prefer. My wife was going to get the grilled chicken bowl, and they were out. I opted for the spicy chicken which I liked, but the offered her steak. It was included at an upcharge, and she felt that several pieces were grissly, so she wasn't wild about that.

We generally get water when we go out to eat, and they did provide us with cups. My wife hit the 'water' button on the dispenser, but this was unflavored soda water, and not tap water. We asked one of the staff for clarification, and they pointed out a separate fountain for tap water. I emptied our cups and filled them with tap water.

I felt that the food was good and appropriately priced, but customers need to be aware of the up charges along the way. For example, a small scoop of avocado would be $2.50. I guess that's okay if you really want it, but I would not find that to be a value add for me.

I will be back, and will order my dips...

Cava in Saginaw—what a spot! Let me just say, Parker and Yenesis deserve a gold medal in wrap-stuffing. My Steak and Feta Wrap was so packed it felt like they were preparing me for a hunger strike. Every bite was a flavor explosion, and honestly, I almost needed a seatbelt for the wrap because it was out of control (in the best way).

But then there’s the sweet tea… oh, Cava. Calling it “sweet tea” is like calling tap water champagne. Bless its heart, it tried.

The atmosphere, though? Calming, like reading a book next to a babbling brook—if the brook also served warm pita and hummus on demand. And the outdoor seating? It had me at hello. I almost wrote my vows out there.

Meanwhile, over at Five Guys, you could feel the jealousy radiating through the windows as people walked right past their fries to bask in the glory of Cava. You could practically hear them whisper, “Why don’t they love us anymore?”

I wouldn’t be surprised if the mayor of Saginaw has declared this place a local treasure. If not, I’ll be nominating it at the next town hall. Just please, someone get Parker and Yenesis a raise—and maybe a new sweet tea recipe...

I ordered takeout through the mobile app. Ordered the steak harissa bowl & a cookie for myself & another bowl for a second person. The food tasted delicious, but in every single bite there was at least 1 very hard particle. I was just too hungry & I just ate it, but I was not happy about it so I called the store & expressed my concern. Samantha the manager answered the phone & she started to say I could get a refund, but I have to do it through the app or maybe can do something else I responded with what are you going to do to fix this issue so that this community isn't coming here & eating this. She told me there’s nothing that can be done about this because in the evening the rice gets hard & there’s nothing they can do. There is an easy fix to this & I hope it...
