Unacceptable Wait Time and Poor Management at
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your Starbucks at approximately 12:29pm on 12/7/24, I visited this location and encountered an unreasonably long wait time of over 20 minutes in drive through line. There was zero evidence of urgency from the employees. As a matter of fact, while I was waiting in the drive through line. I saw one employee going in and out of the store taking garbage out to the dumpster. Couldn't she helped with the drive thru line?? Why would garbage disposal take priority over long drive through line??? The line was so backed up alomost outside of the parking lot. While I understand that peak times can be busy, this wait time was excessive. To make matters worse, the line was not moving efficiently, and there seemed to be a general lack of urgency from the staff. What disappointed me most was the lack of acknowledgment or apology from the manager on duty. A simple "sorry for the wait" or an explanation for the delay would have gone a long way in mitigating my frustration. Instead, I was met with indifference, which left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I asked the employee at the window to speak with the manager. And manager Bernice came up to the window with zero acknowledgement of this situation. I told her "you guys should try to rotate quicker to move the drive through traffice. Her response was with utter disgusted look on her face "YEA, WE ADDED MORE ITEMS ON THE MENU!!" Huh? 🤔 I have been a loyal Starbucks customer for many years and have always appreciated the generally efficient service and friendly atmosphere. However, this recent experience has left me questioning whether I will continue to patronize this particular location. I urge you to address the issues of understaffing or inefficient processes that may be contributing to these long wait times. Sent to this Starbucks Saturday Night, 10/11/14 at around 8:PM. Went through the drive-through. First, I sat at the speaker for about 5 minutes, and finally asked "Hello???" That's when the bubblehead finally figured out someone was waiting for them. No worries, because I was already trapped in place in the drive through, with a car behind me, and the car in front hadn't moved.
Then, as I went by the back door, with it being propped open by all of the trash, and the show tunes (Beauty and the Beast to be specific) pouring out.
It literally took 35 minutes to get 1 pumpkin spice latte. To top it off, one of the little emo boys making the drink set it down by the register, and it took 5 more minutes for her to realize that our coffee was there.
I would have honked, but frankly, I wasn't sure that was ours.
A little less playing around and a little more customer service might be a good idea. This staff was the absolute worst Starbucks staff I've ever seen. My wife loves their faux coffee, and I try to accommodate her, and thus, I go through my share of Starbucks drive throughs. Normally, they're pretty efficient. Watched the drive thru employee serve a person at the counter while both my drinks were waiting. I finally said “are those my drinks”? He said yes, and finished helping the lady. Then I leave, the frap tastes like water milk. Do a u turn, if anyone knows this location it is not easy to get back into the parking lot safely. So I get out of my car go inside, after two attempts, I finally leave with what will work but not the best. Prior to the new attempts, the cashier decided to take another employees order before remaking mine. How lovely. I’m looking for a new coffee shop, the amount of time I spend waiting to order , waiting to receive the order and obviously the wait to get it right is not worth it with the amount they charge.
