The Good: the have a really wide variety of tacos, as well as a few non-taco options. I had a Tipsy Chick taco and a chicken fajita taco. Both were really good, but the Tipsy Chick was amazing with the maple bacon marmalade. Second time I had a burrito with chicken, black beans, rice and avocado. Really good as well, and enough for 2 (in my family, at least). My daughter had a bean and cheese taco, and said it was tasty. Wife agreed! We got cheese dip and salsa, and the cheese dip was very very good. Had a nice kick, but wasn't too spicy, even for the kid.
The Bad: service here (at least on phone/online orders) leaves MUCH to be desired. The estimates for your food being ready are way off, and we waited at least 30 minutes AFTER our food was supposed to be ready before we actually got it. We went 2 nights in a row because it was right next to our hotel. The first night we waited, we were offered a free drink as compensation for the wait, which was fine I guess. When it happened the 2nd night, the staff gave us a couple of $5 gift cards. Nice gesture, but didn't make the wait any less annoying. I gave my gift cards to another guy in line that actually lived here and would use them. The place was packed both nights, with a line out the door the 2nd visit.
I hope they get the service/kitchen issues resolved because it left a bad taste in our mouths, even after...
Read moreI love torchys, but I feel like nearly every single time I order from here something is not right with my order… I typically order for delivery but tonight I had to do an order for pickup (bc the closer location to me was closed for some reason & the other was out of range for delivery) and I suppose it’s partly my fault for not checking the bag before leaving but it was tied in a knot & I didn’t want to stand there for another 3 minutes awkwardly struggling to untie the damn thing just to check it but once again something was left out… like I swear EVERY TIME it’s something.. either they don’t give me enough sauce or give me the completely WRONG sauce or a lot of times (like tonight) they just completely leave out the pico.. and while it’s just little things like that it really does ruin it when I can never seem to just get exactly what I ordered especially when it’s upwards of $30-$40 with delivery fees and tip!… I try to limit myself when it comes to ordering food for delivery so it’s suchhh a bummer when it’s screwed up… like if anything it’s almost more annoying that the issues are so small like something so simple shouldn’t be so often overlooked and forgotten… it’s very disappointing when I decide to treat myself and have it delivered just for it to not come out right.. Just put all the things in the bag?! Why is...
Read moreDo NOT order TO GO from this location, especially if you are working with a time frame. By the time you find a parking spot and go inside, you might as well have just eaten there. I love Torchy's, but did not enjoy visiting this location and won't return. I ordered TO GO, but some jerk dining in was parked in the TO GO spot, so I had to park high up in the parking garage just for pick up. I love walking, but was on a time crunch, so it clearly defeated the purpose of ordering ahead to make pick up quick and easy. The employee was pleasant, but said there was zero monitoring of the TO GO parking spots, and the sign might as well be decoration. My question then: why even have them? Once I was finally able to eat my food, the brisket in the Crossroads taco was so fatty, I ended up not eating half the meat on the taco. Additionally, I ordered no sour cream on the black beans, it was listed that way on the ticket, but it was there in the container anyway. Both of the Arlington locations blow this Torchy's out of the water - visit...
