The Good: the have a really wide variety of tacos, as well as a few non-taco options. I had a Tipsy Chick taco and a chicken fajita taco. Both were really good, but the Tipsy Chick was amazing with the maple bacon marmalade. Second time I had a burrito with chicken, black beans, rice and avocado. Really good as well, and enough for 2 (in my family, at least). My daughter had a bean and cheese taco, and said it was tasty. Wife agreed! We got cheese dip and salsa, and the cheese dip was very very good. Had a nice kick, but wasn't too spicy, even for the kid.

The Bad: service here (at least on phone/online orders) leaves MUCH to be desired. The estimates for your food being ready are way off, and we waited at least 30 minutes AFTER our food was supposed to be ready before we actually got it. We went 2 nights in a row because it was right next to our hotel. The first night we waited, we were offered a free drink as compensation for the wait, which was fine I guess. When it happened the 2nd night, the staff gave us a couple of $5 gift cards. Nice gesture, but didn't make the wait any less annoying. I gave my gift cards to another guy in line that actually lived here and would use them. The place was packed both nights, with a line out the door the 2nd visit.

I hope they get the service/kitchen issues resolved because it left a bad taste in our mouths, even after...

I love torchys, but I feel like nearly every single time I order from here something is not right with my order… I typically order for delivery but tonight I had to do an order for pickup (bc the closer location to me was closed for some reason & the other was out of range for delivery) and I suppose it’s partly my fault for not checking the bag before leaving but it was tied in a knot & I didn’t want to stand there for another 3 minutes awkwardly struggling to untie the damn thing just to check it but once again something was left out… like I swear EVERY TIME it’s something.. either they don’t give me enough sauce or give me the completely WRONG sauce or a lot of times (like tonight) they just completely leave out the pico.. and while it’s just little things like that it really does ruin it when I can never seem to just get exactly what I ordered especially when it’s upwards of $30-$40 with delivery fees and tip!… I try to limit myself when it comes to ordering food for delivery so it’s suchhh a bummer when it’s screwed up… like if anything it’s almost more annoying that the issues are so small like something so simple shouldn’t be so often overlooked and forgotten… it’s very disappointing when I decide to treat myself and have it delivered just for it to not come out right.. Just put all the things in the bag?! Why is...

Do NOT order TO GO from this location, especially if you are working with a time frame. By the time you find a parking spot and go inside, you might as well have just eaten there. I love Torchy's, but did not enjoy visiting this location and won't return. I ordered TO GO, but some jerk dining in was parked in the TO GO spot, so I had to park high up in the parking garage just for pick up. I love walking, but was on a time crunch, so it clearly defeated the purpose of ordering ahead to make pick up quick and easy. The employee was pleasant, but said there was zero monitoring of the TO GO parking spots, and the sign might as well be decoration. My question then: why even have them? Once I was finally able to eat my food, the brisket in the Crossroads taco was so fatty, I ended up not eating half the meat on the taco. Additionally, I ordered no sour cream on the black beans, it was listed that way on the ticket, but it was there in the container anyway. Both of the Arlington locations blow this Torchy's out of the water - visit...

Thats MeThats Me
I've only ever has Torchys maybe twice before, but I was headed home and it sounded good. The lady who took my order was super nice, and patient- as I had no idea what I wanted. I ended up getting two different tacos, one without avocado since I'm allergic. I checked my receipt, and everything looked right. The food did seem to take a while to get, but it happens sometimes, no big deal. I got my food, some black cherry soda, and headed home. The shrimp taco was amazing, with a nice spicy bite to it. I was feeling like a mega fatty, so I decided to have the other taco. When I opened it up, I was super bummed. Right on top were two giant slices of avocado. Not stoked. There's a phone number they give you to let them know how the service/food/etc was. I just let them know they got the order right, but prepared it wrong, no big deal. Partly my fault for not mentioning the allergy. Whoever responded was super apologetic and nice. Moral of the story: eat here, just mention your allergies.

So I recently started to go to Torchys midtown on the corner of Rosedale and Forest Park. Since I have been going, Stormy has been the bartender and I have an issue with the spouse coming over and sitting at the bar while she is working and disturbing her. What really disgusted me this one particular time is when Stormy’s husband ordered some chips and queso, I ordered a drink and before she served my drink she helped herself to some of her husbands chips and queso, licked her fingers and then proceeded to serve my drink without washing her hands, really?????? On the other hand, Savon, another bartender I have been served by is constantly washing his hands and is always putting on and regularly changing his latex gloves. This is the example of a food service employee Stormy should model herself after. I am so disappointed at the food service behavior that Stormy has exemplified. So now, I still go to Torchy’s from time to time, but only when Savon or Mike is bartending.

The food was good as far as taste goes it was normal. The one star is for the wait staff, we ordered to go and the person who brought our order out never looked for us outside by the bench that’s obviously there for a reason. 🙄 My husband went in to purchase a drink after 20 minutes of waiting for our order asked the cashier if she knew if our order was ready and she just replied no without even checking. He brought the drink out to me and by then the person with our order walked up to him and was so ruuuuude!! He proceeded to rant about how he’d been looking for us for a long time and if our “freakin’ “ food was cold it wasn’t their fault! Really??! Unnecessary rudeness!! This is not the first time that the rudeness from the staff leaves me flabbergasted!
