We dined here for the first time yesterday 5/11. We had the beef rib, two Birria tacos, and a barbacoa tostada, side of pinto beans, potato salad and Mac and cheese. The young lady who took our order at the Register was pleasant, she had redish long hair. The man who brought us our food was a whole other story. He asked who ordered what so we advised him what each person ordered. Before walking away he looked at me and said Dang you ordered the tacos and the tostada to which I had to look at my partner because I was in disbelief. I told the man that yes I did indeed order two tacos and a tostada. He said that’s a lot of food. Now what I wanted to do was go tf off on him for his disrespect and rudeness but to avoid letting an ignorant person ruin my day I Said no it really isn’t and turned away from him. He made another comment about how big the beef rib was as well. At that point he was beyond pushing his limit with speaking to us. The beef rib - was not super tender, had a good crust/bark but was very fatty. The Birria tacos were very good! I would recommend those! They were very greasy but still good. The barbacoa tostada was not it at all. It was plain, the meat was dry and overcooked. The potato salad was disgusting, it was mashed potato texture and tasted like cauliflower, the pinto beans were watery and the taste was off. The Mac and cheese was good but it was not hot. Now my partner did call the restaurant today and spoke with a “manager” who appeared to not truly grasp the disrespect of yesterday and got on the phone ready for a fight which my partner who never asks for managers was not happy with, and he is definitely more calm than me. However, because the managers attitude was that she did not care I decided to leave my review. It is truly honest review and we will never come here again. Oh before I forget, super tiny parking lot, maybe 7 cars can fit at one...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Hurtado Barbecue Fort Worth, I was pleasantly surprised by their unique fusion of Texas and Mexican flavors. It's not your traditional BBQ joint, but the creative blend of cuisines makes it a standout dining experience.
I ordered the three meat platter, which included spare ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. Alongside, I tried their mac and cheese, sweet beans, and street corn. Each dish was crafted with an evident love for bold flavors and spices.
The spare ribs were tender and fall-off-the-bone delicious, with a smoky flavor enhanced by the tangy and spicy sauce. The pulled pork was succulent and flavorful, while the brisket had a perfect balance of smoke and seasoning, making each bite a delight. The mac and cheese had a creamy texture, with just the right amount of spice to give it a unique kick. The sweet beans were savory with a hint of sweetness, and the street corn was a fantastic blend of creamy, tangy, and spicy flavors.
What truly sets Hurtado Barbecue apart is the seasoning. The spice blends used in their BBQ, mac and cheese, and beans bring a unique heat and depth of flavor that I thoroughly enjoyed. It's a departure from traditional BBQ, but in the best possible way.
The ambiance at Hurtado Barbecue is warm and welcoming, with a relaxed vibe that makes it a great spot for both casual dining and special gatherings. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience.
Pricing is also a strong point here. For the quality and quantity of food you get, Hurtado Barbecue offers great value.
In conclusion, Hurtado Barbecue Fort Worth offers a flavorful BBQ experience with a delightful fusion twist. If you're a fan of both Texas BBQ and Mexican cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Highly...
Read moreWe met a friend here for lunch after an appointment with a doctor nearby. Handicapped accessible parking was at the front door. One space only. Very workable for my wheelchair. Front entrance was very workable for my wheelchair. We ordered and paid at the counter. Two customers cleared their table so we could sit at their table with my wheelchair which always takes extra seating space. Our orders were called and my husband picked them up at the counter and got drinks. Nearby another customer dropped his drink and the cashier gave him a new cup to get his drink which was very nice of them and helped him clean the floor. This indicated to me kindness and consideration for their customers. I ordered the pulled pork meat tray accompanied with two sides. I chose potato salad and beans. Our friend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with mac-n-cheese. Everything we ordered and shared was great! The pulled pork was very tasty! The sides were spicy and tasty. The pictures were taken after we were well into our lunches, indicating that we were well satisfied with our choices before I thought of a picture!! We cleaned our table for others waiting to order. There was a screened room with picnic tables offering more seating. There were outdoor picnic tables. Parking was about 20 spaces off busy 8th Ave. A bus stop is nearby. Hospitals and doctors offices are nearby also, obvious by the lunch guests. We were very well satisfied by our meals and the restaurant. We live 90 miles away and may return after another appointment...
