Read moreThis food is so other level and authentically good that I do not know how to articulate it sufficiently. It’s as if some intrinsic part of us knows what food from another country truly should taste like beyond all the Americanized versions of it once we finally eat the real deal version as if we were suddenly transported there. I have never eaten humus this good or that has tasted anything like this. I do not know what they did to it but it’s something deeply magical as if my grandmother was Turkish and whipped this up for me. I also don’t usually eat meat dishes at restaurants because I’m hardcore about only eating grass fed pastured meat. But my experience with really authentic middle Eastern or Mediterranean food is it’s sourced better than most American food, which the other reviews seemed to suggest about this place as well, so I ordered the lamb Gyro plate and it was also something other level. I don’t even like salad and was going to skip the salad and rice but somehow even the simple side salad was divine and I’m here standing over the kitchen island in my sisters kitchen eating all the rice too. I get nervous when I find places like this because they’re unicorns in the wild and I feel invested in making sure they exist for all eternity and that other people recognize something mystical is in our presence. I guess it also explains the near 5 star rating this place has higher than any I’ve ever seen on google. Definitely go...
Read moreHeard so much about this place, I just had to come and check it out! The ambiance is simple, clean, and welcoming. We were greeted by Charlie, the owner, who warmly explained that his menu is built on traditional family recipes from Turkey.
We started with the Babaghanoush—delicious, smoky, and served with fresh, homemade bread. Next came the Feta Roll—crispy eggrolls stuffed with creamy feta cheese—absolutely perfect in flavor and texture.
The Beet & Orange Salad was a refreshing mix of spinach, cucumbers, and a bright, flavorful dressing.
For mains, we tried the Adana Kebab, served with rice and a small salad. The kebab was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and bursting with flavor. We also ordered the Beyti Kebab, which features the same Adana Kebab wrapped in delicate pita bread, sliced, and served over a bed of rich garlic yogurt, alongside rice and a fresh, well-seasoned house salad.
Dessert was pure bliss. The Pistachio Baklava—so fresh and flaky—came in four generous pieces and was unbelievably good. Honestly, they should package it for shipping! We also tried the Cyprus Gold, which took things to another level with its combination of walnuts, cream, coconut, and a hint of orange—absolutely divine.
While they don’t serve alcohol, it’s BYOB, and there’s no service fee.
Charlie, thank you for your warm hospitality and for sharing your traditions with such love. This meal was truly a treat, and you can bet we’ll be back...
