Gave me a nearly empty nacho cheese cup I paid for separately. Took it up to the counter. Surly staff member rudely asked me what the problem was. I explained - two cheese cups, one 1/4 full, one 2/3 full, I paid for extra cheese, can you please fix the one that was 1/4 full? I was content to live with the 2/3 full one and used it as an example of a satisfactory amount of cheese. Eye contact was not made. Staring off at the floor she impatiently explained to me that “It’s portion controlled - two pumps - if you want more, you’ll have to order more.” And that was it. No more words. Of course I had in fact already ordered more. Then she just left me standing at the counter with the manager, whom other reviewers have already described well, staring at me as if waiting for me to leave them alone again.
Got back to my table. Ate my lunch, which was supposed to be a treat after a difficult morning and a break, fuming. I arrive at the last menu item (my favorite that I save for last) to find it has been prepared improperly (ordered no onions, got lots). Just threw it away and left because I was literally trying to treat myself after an extremely difficult morning at work and I don’t pay ridiculously inflated food prices so I can spend my lunch break getting into fights with people who clearly have a chip on their shoulder.
Honestly, and this is going to sound hyperbolic and made up but it is, I assure you, absolutely not — as a lifetime customer of Taco Bell, to the point that I get guff from friends regularly for my affection for this low-brow fast food, I’m strongly considering breaking the habit for good.
This experience was so degrading that it made me feel like my habit of going to the Bell is more like being a drug addict than a “Guest”, giving my money to a dealer who has nothing but contempt for me to get a low-quality fix, and too much money at that, just to get treated like a dog turd for suggesting that these two pumps of cheese may not have been quite up to snuff, and can you please give me $.10 worth of cheese in this cup I paid $.60 extra for?
As I was leaving, I noticed a nice sit-down Mexican joint up the hill, and cursed myself for darkening the door of this dump.
Avoid this place. Positive reviews are probably just...
Read moreI placed a mobile order of 5 items and gave the restaurant 20 minutes to complete it before I arrived through the drive through (as I had indicated since it was the only option available). The initial response was 15 minutes, and then changed to 5 hours and 15 minutes. I assumed this meant there was no one working but I still hoped for a possible good experience. I went through the drive through (as the doors were locked and pick was unavailable) and said I was picking up a mobile order under my name. The gentleman was cordial and kind, and said to please come to the window. After coming to the window, he asked to someone behind the station "should I tell him to drive around?" To which a female voice said "hell yes". He was kind enough and asked, can I ask you to pull around front, we will bring out your order. I kindky said sure and pulled to the front. I sat there for another 10 minutes and saw 4 customers pull up/through and drive away until finally someone brought out mine and another cars order at the same time (mine second). The gentleman apologized for the delay and wished me a good night. He was then called back to the other car who I coukd hear yelling "can I get some sauce?". He kindly responded "its all in the bag sir" and went back to rhe entrance. I looked at my receipt, recognized my entire order, saw the bag was taped up, so I left thinking everything was fine. Upon reaching home, nothing was fine. All of my items were missing their additions and customizations, and yet I was still charged for them. $5.99 cravings box did not have 2 of 4 items. I received 0/20 requested sauces. Nothing had tomatoes, onions, beans jalapeños, nor red sauce. This was basically 60% of my order and all I got was 3 soft tortillas 1 hard taco shell, a few chips, meat and taco cheese that I did not...
Read moreWORST taco bell ever.. Most places give the courteous of throwing up a sign when they close early, the Newport taco bell sure does, but this one will not.. I waited in line behind 2 cars, whole time thinking wow it is taking them a long time to order but that was normal actually at this location. When it's finally my turn, I sit there for one min before saying hello and no one answered, it is before 11 pm which is what time it said on google, after double checking the time and confirming they should be open, I drove up to the window. A paper sign on the window said closes at 11, it's barely past 10 at this point. Girl yells through window that they're closed. I told her it would be better customer service if they put a sign on the drive thru intercom so we knew before waiting several minutes first. She said "she would. Ten mins later when I'm passing by on my way home with the other food place I ended up getting, line of 5 cars. They clearly didn't take the advice or care in any sense of the the word about their customers and THEIR TIME. I have been going to the Taylor Mill location since, I refuse to give my business to people who clearly don't care about...
