I want to start off by saying that the food was pretty good. However, the service was AWFUL. I have been a server and know that sometimes, things happen that make it hard to be attentive, but I don't believe this to be the case.

I know when going to a Mexican restaurant, you can expect there to be some type of language barrier, but the lack of English ability here was very discouraging. One server did not even understand my request for sugar. They would not form full questions, but rather say one short word and expect us to understand. We could not ask any sort of questions, because they just simply could not understand.

At the time of our visit, there were 3 other parties in the restaurant for a total of MAYBE 20 people in the entire restaurant. We noticed 5 different servers in the restaurant. They should be able to handle 4 people a piece.

We had 4 people in our party, with one arriving later than 3 of us. Our server asked us 4 times within 10 minutes if we wanted to order, although every time we told him we were waiting for one more. When our 4th member finally showed up, it took our server a while to come ask what she wanted to drink. When she said started to say she would like a margarita, he started to walk away before she was finished. She then told him she wanted strawberry and frozen and the server ROLLED HIS EYES AT HER. I hardly think that was a ridiculous request. He brought it back and ran away before we could ask for anything else. It then took 30 MINUTES for anyone to return to take our order.

The food came quick and it was good but once again the server ran away before we could ask for anything else. All of our drinks had been empty for quite some time. We even attempted to get the attention of servers, but I suppose that they didn't hear us.

We finished our food and had hoped to get desserts and more drinks (we were celebrating a birthday), but after a very long time, the server brought out checks without even asking if we would like anything else. We just decided to go somewhere else for these things because it was not worth the hassle of staying.

The man that seemed to be the owner or manager seemed very great and personable, and the food was good but those were the only 2 positives I can even think to give them. We will ABSOLUTELY not...

This was my first and last time here. Absolutely horrible service and very rude staff!!! My 3 sons and I went. 2 arrived a few minutes before us and ordered their drinks. 1 ordered water with lemon and he got lemonade..... he didn't complain. We get there and ordered a coke and tall Miller lite. They bring a mello yellow.... didn't complain. I started drinking it so it wasn't wasted til my miller lite arrived :) RUDE waiter comes over and snatches mello yellow off the table and slammed it down on another table and proceeds to take our order....... 1 son ordered a steak quesadilla add shrimp and he rudely said NO!!! I can't order a steak quesadilla and add shrimp to it??? NO!!!!! He said I just won't eat then. I say none of us will eat just bring us the check for the drinks!!!! HORRIBLE/STAFF AND THE SALSA SUCKED!!!!!! Unbelievable that you can't order something as simple as a quesadilla and add shrimp to it and a coke and lemon water and everything be wrong or you just can't have it. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND MI TIERRA!!!!! I had to give 1 star to be able to post...

Been a loyal customer for at least 7 of the 12 years they have been in buisness. We are no longer going to establishment after server continues to be very rude and belittling to us. We also had a incident just tonight (4-29-23) where the meal we requested was cooked wrong 2 times and then never came to the table. They over charged us on our meal they added money on the check for beverage that we did not get. They have also in the past put a service charge of $5.00 because they were slow during covid that they charged everyone who came in. We have 4 different checks and all of them had the same charge. The service manager requested that we not come back because we have questioned basic server and buisness expectations. This date will be the last time since we were requested to stay away.

Thier food is not that great to be honest they only thing they can get right is thier chips and salsa.

Thank of me as a Karen if u want but I think that no one should choose this over another place, if u want a good...

My friend and I go to a lot of Mexican places around Cincy. We tried out Mi Tierra this afternoon. Our waiter had very bad breath, which isn't necessarily his fault and I hate to bring it up but it made talking to him difficult, especially since he barely knew any English. The salsa tasted kinda paste-like. The chips were decent. The tortilla shell of my taco salad was good and fresh. The rest was mediocre. My friend ate her taco. The horchata was watered down. The waiter ARGUED when we wanted the chorizo dip taken off the bill. Pictured below, it is very clear that the oil was not drained before being put into the cheese and it tasted so bad I wouldn't let my friend try it. The waiter said "but you ORDERED it!" and we said "Yeah, but LOOK at it." he continued to argue with the checkout guy too. We will not be returning. I would recommend going to Tres Amigos, Mi Cozumel or literally anywhere else before coming here, at least during lunch.

We chose Mi Tierra because Google listed their hours as open until 10pm. When we arrived, there were no posted hours on the door to indicate otherwise. Our party of six was seated, and it wasn’t busy at all. A few minutes later, four more friends called to say they were coming—this was right before 9pm, which still gave us plenty of time based on the posted closing time. Right after we ordered, I watched the server rush over to a man in a white shirt, clearly upset. He then came to our table and told us they actually closed at 9pm, and we needed to call our friends and tell them not to come. That is NOT how you treat paying customers, especially when your own hours online say otherwise. The food itself was mediocre at best—certainly not worth the poor service or confusion. They’ve lost our business, and we will not be returning. Save yourself the disappointment and try somewhere else.

The best Mexican food in the tri-state area and beyond. This has become my families first stop whenever we get home from vacation. The service is always friendly and they always know our order. We have never had a bad dish here. The salsa is impeccable along with the enchiladas with molé sauce, el pastor tacos, fajitas (especially the onions), and the trio tacos. There are several times when my family has found ourselves returning daily. Even in large groups, the service is always great and personable! They always crack jokes about what we order and know our orders like the back of their hands! We have tried nearly every Mexican restaurant in the area and we always end up coming back. The food is just so good. I highly recommend ordering a side of their homemade hot sauce. This is such an amazing Mexican restaurant— they do everything well!!
