Went on a Thursday night about 9pm. First time there. Walked in, no one there to tell us where to sit, no sign either. Got a table and waited. Eventually got our chips and drinks. After about 10-15 minutes my wife got up to find our waiter. He showed up just as she got to the doorway to the main seating area. We placed our orders. Both orders were selected so we could try their rice and beans, and I wanted a tamale. Wife made her choice specifically because it had beans and rice. After about 10 minutes the waiter came back and said they were out of rice, so would we like double beans? A little disappointed, but we rolled with it. 15 minutes later they brought our food. Mine had a large chile relleno and no tamale. I pointed this out to the waiter. He chuckled and said they were out of tamales! Didn't come to me and tell me so I could order something else, he just assumed I would be ok with a chile relleno. I wasn't. He brought a burrito out and took half off my dinner (I did not request any adjustment on my bill)..
Let's recap: They didn't have rice, and didn't tell us until after we ordered. They didn't have any tamales, and didn't tell us AT ALL. They just made a substitution without even telling me. I don't particularly like chile rellenos. Service was very slow. We paid and left. We will not go back. How in the world do you run out of rice and tamales on a Thursday and not tell your customers? If they would have been honest and upfront when we first got there, we would have paid for our chips and drinks, left, and returned on another day. They...
Read moreI went down there for the fortville christmas festival. I am not from this town. After the parade, me and my family, decided to eat before they start up the tree light. Obviously, the restaurant will be packed. I was told we will be seaten within 20 mins or so. We were pleased it wasnt long but, it's not the place to bring a baby stroller and no waiting seats for other people to sit back to get out of the way. This place is small. Move on, upon an approach by this young waiter, just out of high school, asked us what drinks we want....no menu were presented. Strike 1. They gave us the meals we ordered...no napkins. Could not find my waiter, had to ask another waiter to bring us napkins. Strike 2. I ordered a fritija with chicken. On the menu, it includes small tortillas to eat tacos out of.....I patiently waited for our OWN waiter....when I looked up for her, her head was down....on the phone. Strike 3. Not coming back. Good effort though. I have had kitchen jobs back then...I may not know many things. But you don't stand in view on the phone while serving customers. This need to stop for better improvement. Your...
Read moreWaiter had to many tables. We had a party of 10. 1st he dumps a whole tray of drinks off the table on to one of the people in our party. We had to ask for menus, refills on our drinks. One of the people ordered a single taco and it was cold when he gave it to us, he sent it back and the waiter just never brought another. We had 2 people order grilled chicken quesadilla at $7.25 each you would have thought it would have been a large one, no it was a small one with almost no chicken in it. It was more like it should have been on a kids menu. I had to ask for some type of discount for the drinks that got dumped all over one of us, the waiter did not want to give me one, asked to speak with manager and he had to call him and gave me his cell phone for me to ask. I know we had a large party but they weren’t busy and food took for ever. Waiter brought the Meals out 1 at a time. It was our first and...
