I have eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants around Orange County and I must admit that this is at the top of the list. First off, the food is sensational! I would think that it was prepared by a Michelin star chef! Everything is cooked to perfection and I would definitely recommend trying there bean buns, milk tea, coffee, and definitely the banh mi! I would even have to say that they taste better than the food in Vietnam! Next off, I would like to commemorate them on their great service! Stepping into the door, I was greeted by many friendly smiles from the wonderful employees. In addition, the restaurant itself is very clean and organized that I didn’t even see one piece of trash. There are many tables and chairs where you can sit and you feel right at home when you arrive. Definitely the best Vietnamese restaurant in the area and I am willing to commute all the way from Huntington Beach to Bao and Baguette everyday just to enjoy the wonderful food and atmosphere. If you are in the area, this is the best place...
Read moreGreat value to-go meals! I've only tried their salads so far -- the papaya salad w/ beef jerky and the pickled radish and carrots salad. Both were around $5.50 for a large portion size and they were satisfying. I've been wanting to try their baos and baguettes but always get captivated by their to-go section lol. The grass jelly with basil seed and coconut drink ($2.75) is also pretty interesting and refreshing. It reminds me of a healthier version of canned grass jelly drinks from Asian markets. It'll be a nice drink for the summer and good alternative to boba (Sharetea is in the same plaza!). The only downside is the workers don't seem to know the products they're selling. I've asked different workers questions on separate occasions (e.g. what is inside this drink?) and none of the workers knew the answer. But overall, Bao n Baguette is such a convenient establishment in Westminster for a...
Read moreWas glad I came across this clean and well run place even though I live over in Garden Grove. Their take out curry is surprisingly good, bold and with just the perfect spices. Their baguette is also very good with just the perfect dough texture (not too hard or soft), and without the dreaded cheap buttery smell like some other sandwich places. The fillings in their banh bao tasted pretty fresh which was really good. Since this place looks really clean and well managed, I thought I tried their pickled greens and was glad I did.
There were some downsides though. Their desserts are way too sweet, we're talking about the amount of sugar that will make you a diabetic or give you a fatty liver. Their Siu Mai pork meatballs also smelled terrible like they've been left around too long. The ingredients used in some of their rolls also didn't...
