Orange County Crafted Donuts — Restaurant in Fountain Valley

I agree with some other patrons...this place is just not the same since the name and owner's changed. The donuts are still decent quality, but the service is severely lacking in comparison to the Donut Bar (previous name). I made a special order for a birthday almost a month in advance and it was confirmed with us two weeks prior. When I arrived for pick up the day of, the order was nowhere to be found. The staff member had no explanation and no knowledge of the situation. I gave her my information and asked that the manager call me immediately upon his arrival (supposedly at 8 a.m.) The manager did not call us and we had to call him shortly after 8 to check. At which time he told us "yes, she told me", and then explained that the baker had not made our order and was gone for the day. I had to leave work in the middle of the morning to go to the store to pick up donuts that were not my order. The manager, Billy, had no valid excuse for the fact that he did not call us immediately upon his arrival at the shop and then told us that the baker had told him before leaving for the morning that he did not complete our order. And yet, no calls were made to me to warn me or let me know. There was also no offer or effort put forth to make it right. After we complained enough, we were offered a free box of donuts OR a refund. No other compensation was made. I work in customer service and if I had completely failed to fulfill my promise to a customer, you can bet I would be bending over backwards to make it right, offer a full refund and then still perform the service at absolutely no charge to my client. That was not done here and I was left feeling angry and disappointed and I will not be returning or giving any of my money to this...

I never usually do reviews, but Crafted Donuts is genuinely a place I have to leave a review for. I’ve been coming here since they opened and they’re the only place I can get a donut from now. I live up in a different state now but when whenever I swing by my hometown, I always stop by.

Their Homer donut is absolutely amazing. Amazing portion for the price and absolutely delicious; cakes and light and not greasy at all. If you’re torn or typically indecisive— absolutely order it. You cannot go wrong and I’m sure you will adore that vaguely strawberry taste of the frosting.

Crafted Donuts really makes you feel valued. I recall a day this past summer in which I was visiting a friend in town. I ordered us both donuts for delivery because she hadn’t tried this place before and I needed to share. Crafted Donuts was amazing and, along with the speedy delivery, gave us a dozen free glazed donut-holes along with a handwritten note, signed, which I still hold on to for memories. It was absolutely sweet and I really hope this place stays opens for many, many,...

Well, they replaced the Donut Bar that used to be in that location, and mimic most of the donuts that were offered, but they are not the donut bar. They aren't bad though, just not the same. Overall they were good. Still pricey. Beautifully made, and nicely displayed. I was a little underwhelmed by the monte cristo, I expected better. I also didn't care for the jelly inside the peanut butter and jelly donut, it's just a cheap mass produced red goo, if it had been real jelly it would have been an awesome donut. The bubble gum was wild, just like old fashion bubble gum, personally I didn't care for the flavor on my donut though. I also found it odd that they didn't have the donuts on the menu available, and not because they were sold out, it was only 30 minutes after opening,they just didn't make them? The cinnamon twist and peanut butter cup were excellent though! The other ones I had were pretty good too.I'll definitely...
