OMG come try the new fiesta chicken Mulita immediately to make sure it stays on the menu. Yum!!!!!!!!!!!! The new fiesta chicken Mulita is grilled chicken with a bit of seasoning. Finally a grilled chicken that tastes as fantastic as their other meats. The old standard chicken is a boring boiled chicken, I’d warned my friends to get anything but that. My normal go-to is chicken as I consider it the healthiest ā€œmeatā€ on the menu but the first time I visited Tio Flacos they only had boiled chicken which is exactly that - throw chicken in water and boil = blah - so I didn’t try Tio Flacos again for another year. Then due to convenience and the fact that I love its relaxed outdoor seating (and fact that they have CokeZero on tap) I gave Tio Flacos another shot and let myself get the carnitas Mulita which changed my entire opinion on Tio Flacos making me a guilty Tio Flacos addict. Guilty as I try not to eat pork often. However, the new fiesta chicken is super yummy! It blows away the old chicken and I think I actually like it better than the carnitas - a high bar to pass. From now on I’m a fiesta chicken girl!

Expensive as hell to put it in perspective. 4 mulitas is $18. More expensive than 2 combos at in and out. More expensive than Tommy's for 2. More expensive than Baja fresh for 2. And more expensive thank Sharkeys in Irvine. You get less food for quadruple the price of any Mexican food joint. First and last time I'll ever eat here again. It's not even that great. In fact throwing away the food after spending $18 that didn't include chips or salsa was hard to accept. Lesson learned. Oh yeah they charge extra for meat, and there is no seasoning and it's just plain ol salt and a small taco sized tortilla. #ripoff

Today we ordered three al pastor corn tacos and three chicken corn tacos and an order f carnita nachos. This place does not disappoint. The meat was flavorful and tender and the carnitas was juicy and moist. Love their selection of sauces too The location is clean and the service is great. They work fast to get your order out to you and you never seem to wait too long. We will keep coming back here as this taco place reminds us of some of the great tacos we've had in other states. They also have outdoor seating, with outdoor heaters as well when needed. Great place definitely will be back.

I really wanted to like this place, they cook your food fresh, the food looks good and the outdoor seating has outdoor heaters which makes it cozy as it starts to get cold. When I rate a place it almost entirely revolves around the food itself (quality, freshness, and flavor). Unfortunately the food had no flavor which is why I'm giving this place a 3. I tried the tacos and mulita, but I was disappointed.

Update 7/13/18 Went back today with my girlfriend to give it a second chance. We both tried the carne asada burrito......the meat was dry and kinda bland. Whatever flavor did come from the burrito wasn't...
