I do not understand how this place has not closed down. I have had so many issues over the past 6-7 years at this location. I end up giving them another try because I grew up loving Jack in the Box. I am from San Diego, the home of Jack. However, my recent visit was the absolute last straw and the other reviews share in my opinion. FOOD: I have had issues with them giving me tacos that were fried in oil that was so dirty that the paper wrap for the tacos was brown. I ate one before noticing and had terrible stomach cramps. I have had eggrolls be almost completely burned. Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburgers that were so dry, it tasted like the meat was cooked yesterday. The chicken patty on the value chicken sandwich is as a joke how thin it is now. They have forgotten the ham slice on my Breakfast Jack. Undercooked hashbrowns that were soaked in dirty oil. My recent visit, I ordered chicken nuggets for my kids, which were normally good. However, they gave me the most pathetic nuggets I have ever seen in my life. They looked like they were cooked 3-days ago. See the photo. SERVICE: The service is not up to par. The employees are unengaged and seem like they really do not care about anything. They definitely do not care about the quality of the food they are putting out. ATMOSPHERE: I swear they kept the lobby closed two extra years after the pandemic restrictions. One time, I tried to get breakfast on my way to work and went there right at the posted open time. They did not open the drive-thru until 25 minutes after the open time. This was during the time when they had the lobby closed. The last time I ate inside, there were dirty tables, overflowing trash, it was a mess. I absolutely CANNOT recommend this location and it seems the north one is also suffering from similar issues. I grew up eating "Jack in the Crack", as my father called it, and it is disheartening that I can never enjoy it again.

I ordered through the driveway and saw right away the price for the teriyaki bowl meal said $11.79 and on the screen it said $12.19. When I went up to the window I asked her what the teriyaki bowl meal rang up as and she said $12.19, I said then why does your price menu say $11.79. She tried to say that it was because I got the meal, wrong because that is already the meal price. Then she tried to say tax, wrong again, tax is at the bottom as a separate charge. She walked away and got the manager I’m assuming (Gary) who tried to say that a homeless person broke the board so they had to put the old price up. Not my fault Gary, plus the board isn’t broken. The price advertised says $11.79, that’s what I need to be charged. He tried to say there was nothing he could do. Wrong again because that’s false advertisement which is highly illegal. He proceeded to roll his eyes and shut the window. Came back with my new total. I understand it’s only $.40 but that’s not the point. Why are they advertising one price and charging a different one? Is it going to Jack in the Box? Is it going to an employee skimming off the top? Pretty shady if you ask me. He didn’t say a single other word to me as he gave me my food. I’m sorry that I caught you guys charging more than advertised but things are expensive these days and every penny counts. Updated 10/15: I submitted a review via the website provided. Have a heard back. Absolutely not. They pretend to care and bot says to submit it to their website, but it is definitely not checked.

I know it must be hard to keep employees on a schedule. But locking the doors to a restaurant is ridiculous. Went through the drive thru. Got my order and drove off. Realized that part of the order was missing. Got to the walk in doors on the other side. Locked. No way to dispute the order. Walked around to the drive thru window and complained of the wrong order. Awkward and unnecessary for a business such as Jack n the box. Bad service period. The girl working the window was very slow and seemed out of touch with her job. Most I have ever paid for that breakfast menu order anywhere at another Jack n the box. Sad the higher price came with such low service . After looking at all the one-star reviews. I should not be shocked at what I experienced

Update! I ordered the new chili cheese fries as it looked appealing in the ad. In addition we ordered our typical stuff (tacos, curly fries, etc.) When we got the chili cheese fries my wife asked me if I could talk to the staff and get more chili and cheese as it was severely lacking in both chili and cheese. I went to the same cashier lady and asked if it was possible to get more chili and cheese, and that I'd even be willing to pay if necessary. The cashier said she'll go fall to the manager (his name is Sean), who came and started going through the menu to see if he could somehow charge me for it. He didnt care at all why I was asking for more and didnt even talk to me the whole encounter. About a couple of minutes in he was clearly frustrated that he couldn't find some way to charge me so he told the cashier in an annoyed voice to go tell the cook staff to heat up some chili or something "cause I can't find a way to charge him." I mean what kind of customer service is that, it was more than obvious that Sean was annoyed with my request and he was totally unprofessional about it. He then walked off so I asked if she wanted to take the fries to put the chili on or if they were making a new one or something and she honestly had no clue (which isnt her fault Sean did not communicate effectively at all) so she told me to just take it back to my table and she'll let me know. Mind you, I did all of this at the beginning when we first got our food and my son, wife and I were almost finished eating when the cashier came out and asked for the fries back so she can put the chili on it(my wife informed me that they're not even supposed to take that food back for sanitary reasons) I saw an employee order the chili cheese fries after me and get it well before they came back. Anyway she took the fries and about 3-5 minutes later she comes back. There was a decent amount more of the chili and cheese but I am almost 90% they microwaved the box to heat it up (which means they spent the whole time back there not even preparing it but just making me wait) because the fries were extremely soggy and disappointing. I am severely disappointed in the service I received from Sean and how this situation was handled, and on top I've had a alot of bad encounters with them, but for someone like Sean to be a manager and act the way he did is a failure of leadership. Would not come here again.

My wife and I go here because it is the closest Jack in the Box to our place, but honestly if we could we would go to a different one. The food is always low quality and sloppily made, even for a Jack in the Box. The only thing that I do like about this place is that the staff are always nice and friendly. (This review was made months ago, as you can see it still holds true except one of the managers there named Sean should not be in the working there, let alone be a manager. The cashier there was nice though, and I would put her name but the receipt is...
