Panda Express — Restaurant in Fountain

I went through the drive-thru at the Panda Express in Fountain (6316 S U.S. Hwy 85 87), and honestly, this location keeps getting worse. I’ve tried giving them multiple chances because it’s close to home, but after this last visit, I won’t be coming back.

I ordered lo mein, beef and broccoli, and walnut shrimp. The beef looked old, dry, and completely unappetizing—like it had been sitting out way too long. The lo mein was bland, and the portions were ridiculously small. As for the walnut shrimp? There weren’t any walnuts. Just a few shrimp thrown in sauce. For what I paid, it was honestly a joke.

What bothered me even more is how they act when you say no to rounding up or donating. Every time I decline, it feels like they throw my food together without any care. I shouldn’t feel like I’m being punished for not donating—it’s supposed to be optional, not something that affects the quality of your food.

The service feels rushed and careless, and the food is consistently disappointing. I’ll be driving farther to visit a different location from now on. This one just...

I forgot to write a review sooner, but the staff here was amazing. I had horrid Panda Express years ago and hadn't eaten any of their food since about 2 weeks ago at this location. The service and quality of food we got at this location has changed my mind. The food was hot and smothered in sauce and seasoning. The chicken practically melted in my mouth. No bones or hard spots in any of it. The rice was cooked through and soft. I know that shouldn't be a lot to ask for. However, going off the last experience I had years ago, it was a shock to me how well everything was actually cooked. The cherry on top was the pup cups. We usually have our two dogs with us and only eat out at places we can get pup cups or a small treat for them after a hike. I didn't expect Panda Express to have something like that but they did. (TL;DR) Update (22 March 2025) I had the BEST Customer Service this evening! The staff were all so nice! America & Eden were FANTASTIC. They were so sweet, polite, gracious, and the service: Best ever!!! Thank you, ladies: you made my whole night better!!! This Panda Kitchen is AMAZING! I walked in, was welcomed, the "atmosphere," was warm and inviting, and there were a a couple of families eating. Everyone was so busy, the food was (all) fresh, delicious, and I think they are terrific...Crazy busy, but, unlike so many places, everything was clean, no one was freaking out (yes, i have seen places, several times, when they got busy, people/staff seem overwhelmed and everything looks terribly messy, at almost every place we go, but at PK, this was NOT the case, the exact opposite was true.
