At approximately 1:00 on Saturday August 16th I came into this Chipotle for what I think is either the third or fourth time. ... Oddly enough, the first few times that I was in this place I didn't get the sense of a welcoming friendly atmosphere. So the following incident I'm about to describe Isn't So surprising. .... I asked for a cheese crisp/quesadilla. .... I asked the girl if she could please just fold it in half, instead of bunching it up like a burrito. ... ( side note, putting a glob of cheese in the center of a bunched up tortilla is a burrito not a cheese quesadilla) .... Anyway, the girl agreed but somehow wasn't sure if she was allowed to Simply fold the tortilla in half instead of bunching it up like a burrito. .... She took the whole thing to the back and had to ask a manager if it was okay to just fold it in half instead of making it the wrong way the way she was taught. .... The manager then told me that he can't just simply fold the tortilla in half because it won't fit in their machine. .... I figured fair enough. Sounds logical and acceptable to me. ..... UNTIL! I saw him stick the bunched up tortilla filled with cheese into an oven that clearly could have taken a folded in half cheese crisp. .... So I politely call him out on it. Telling him that it clearly would have fit in the oven. But even though he saw me watch him put it an oven that was big enough to accommodate my simple request. he insisted that folded it in half wouldn't have "fit in the machine". .... I politely said I just watched you put it in that oven right there which is clearly big enough. .... Bottom line, He insulted my intelligence by implying I didn't see what I saw. .... And now! you have to ask yourself the question. What would it have hurt for him to just fold the tortilla in half. .... The answer is, it wouldn't have hurt at all. and it would have been a decent human, customer service, sense of community kinda thing to just fold it in half and stick it in the oven. ... Understand The way the tortilla is folded didn't affect anything on the Chipotle side of this incident, but the guy was too busy trying to show me that he was in charge and my inconsequential request didn't matter. And wasn't more important than his expression of power over me. ..... I'll be copy and pasting what I just wrote here on the San Tan happenings Facebook page and the Dust Bowl page etc warning people about this Chipotle's lack of customer service and welcoming atmosphere as well as the pettiness on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the worst Chipotle visit I've had in a very long time. I went into this Chipotle to get what I usually get which is a double wrapped burrito with white rice, black beans, steak, queso and lettuce. When I walked up I asked for the double wrapped burrito and after the first server was done heating it up the second server realized that they had run out of white rice and black beans so she said that we could just get that stuff last. So, she goes over to the protein and then we both realize that they'd also run out of steak and that a guy in the back was cutting it. Then another server bring the second server a small queso cup with not even a scoop full of steak and then she dumps it on the tortilla. I assumed that they would add more eventually at the end of my order but they weren't going to. Then, after I got my queso and lettuce the second server goes back and the rice is filled but the black beans aren't, so she dumps a scoop on but then proceeds to scoop out what's not even a handful of black beans and puts it on my tortilla. And then she says will that be all for you today? Then I ask if I can have more steak because they didn't put a scoop full on there, then she says yes but that's going to cost extra. Are you kidding me? When I walked in there, there was no line, barely any people in there and 4 employees standing at the counter but you're telling me that all of that stuff couldn't have been refilled and then tell me when I ask for a little more of the stuff that you give me only a little cup full you say that it'll cost me extra. Now that Chipotle is soooo lucky that I wasn't charged for that but that was the most ridiculous service I've ever had. Employees need to stop screwing around and get things done while customers aren't in there so that when they are, they can...
Ā Ā Ā Read more(Update from first review 7 months later): Witnessed Justice the store manager or owner completely disrespect/ yell at his staff! Literally was told "weāll be with you shortly", then went back to talk down on the girl he was yelling at. Another customer had to tell him he was wrong for it and it should be handled differently.
I just wanted my food! š© So uncomfortable for both the customers and employee!
2nd time Iāve had an awful experience at this chipotle! Tried it several times now and nothing good to say. Food is okay, portion size is noticeably smaller than other locations offer.
Original Review: Rude manager by the name of Andreonna to her team and customers. Waited over 30+ mins in line, worst experience at a chipotle!
They were out of 3 things, the white rice being one but was filled and then aggressively taken by Andreonna from the girl working the line for walk up orders, this was after she aggressively took the black beans from the same girl.
Then after waiting, they tried to say they were out of chips when there was a huge pile behind the gentleman and when he was corrected, Andreonna found the need to say donāt talk to my employee like that after I witnessed her cold shoulder her own line worker š when I reminder her how long we waited because she took the rice she said "mobile is priority", so in other words all of us in line donāt matter?
When I told her thatās good to know it should be put into a review her response- "please do Iād like for people to know".
So here it is, to the manager Justice, Iām sure you guys can find better management thatās not going to get mouthy with upset customers and make them feel uncomfortable...
