This was our first visit. We stopped in for lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately and our server was friendly and very attentive throughout our lunch. Living on the east coast most of my life and having access to New Jersey shore seafood restaurants set my expectation for a similar food experience but that's not what we got. Yes, plenty of lunch items to choose from. Almost too many choices. My wife selected the fish and chips and I had the white fish poor boy. The food was, based on our experience, average, on a par with pub grub available most anywhere. I expected elevated food from a chain that specializes in fish. The bread roll that my fish was served in fell apart. Just too weak for the task. Forks are not provided unless you ask. The idea is to eat your fish and chips with your hands. And my sandwich was served open style and when I asked how to eat it without a fork I was told to just pick it up and eat it like a sandwich. Not possible, for me at least. If it was meant to be eaten like a sandwich why was it served open face? But I tried. And as I said, it fell apart in my hands. Maybe the fish boil is the way to go instead of what we ordered. But at $115 for a bag for two, I wasn't about to go there for lunch. Yes, the price of seafood has skyrocketed. And the ingredients are expensive. I get that. The vibe is good. The place is clean, large, and the tables are spread out.

Overall the restaurant was a really good experience. We ended up getting the largest meal option they had which serves 5 to 8 people. I was there with a family of five and we ended up having a good portion of it left over that we were able to take. For someone who enjoys seafood it was great because it was a mix of lobster, crab, shrimp, muscles, and clams. The experience was pretty wonderful. We put on bibs and gloves had hammers and scissors and were able to dig into the food. As a surprise there was sausage and corn and potatoes that were extremely good. I expected the seafood to be good because of the other reviews I've read but I was very surprised that besides that went with this dish were equally well done. I didn't get the sense that anything was cheapened out on or was overly expensive just because of the rarity of having seafood in Arizona which is always a good thing. As of the writing of this review we did have a bill that was over $300 for a family of five which isn't the most attainable meal for a lot of families. I would say that if we had ordered the smaller meal that was associated with three to four people that they're wouldn't have been enough food and we would have left there hungry and or frustrated at how much we spent for everybody not getting full. So it was very much a trade-off yet I do think that the cost was proportionate to the quality of the food.

I can’t justify going back for the decor/ambience, and certainly not the food i had. The service and waitress were excellent, but i went there after they just opened in the late morning and the mens bathroom smelled like piss (obviously wasn’t cleaned properly or at all) and the $15 appetizer trio platter was a tasteless bunch of battered i don’t know what?? It was supposed to be fried clam strips, shrimp and calamari and i couldn’t tell which was the clam strips and which was the calamari- even after eating some of it??. Never had calamari served like that and i hope i never do again- it was a real disappointment as i had hoped that would be one of the restaurants in the area i could take family and friends for a great seafood meal but honestly if they cant clean the place better or do better with the seafood dishes i will never return!! Windows were dirty with stickers on them, walls by the booths were not properly finished/painted, floor was bare concrete and unappetizing, and the fact people were allowed to write with crayons all over the walls might have been a good business concept if the rest of the place was clean but it wasn’t clean- so VERY BAD BUSINESS IDEA!! Get a manager/owner who cares and you will do very well!

I've been to four locations now and in some cases multiple times (Goodyear and Surprise) and I will not be going back to this one. It was just a bizarre experience all around compared to the others and also similar style "craberries" like Joe's for instance. First off, it was weird being served in paper cups and paper dish (edamame). For all their love of paper - this was the only location I've seen that doesn't have a paper towel roll at the table - it's kind of a necessity for messy eating like this. Instead they had a regular napkin dispenser which, as you can imagine, was disgusting looking from previous drippy hands trying to pull extra napkins out. The women's bathroom was dirty to the point my wife wouldn't go in after our guest described her experience in there. I do give them props for having a hand washing station outside the restroom though. We ordered edamame for the appetizer and it was literally half the portion you see at their other locations and it too was served on just this tiny paper boat. I did order a side of grits that was also served in the same weird paper boat that was soggy and started falling apart since grits aren't dry. Utensils were plastic because they didn't have any cleaned up at the moment and, I kid you not, they did not have crab crackers! We were instead provided these infuriatingly dull scissors that did not even line up when closing and could not cut through the thicker claws at all (had to carefully press shell against edge of table to get the job done). Oh, and the food itself. The snow crab came in a separate bag and was cold. Literally cold. The other bag which had the queen crab, potatoes, mussels and shrimp was kinda warm? The queen crab had definite cold spots in it though - clearly the food was not cooked long enough or their temp wasn't high enough. Service was average. It wasn't crazy busy or anything. We had to wait awhile to get water refills on a few occasions and nobody stopped by to ask how it was. I will not be going back to this location. We had just dined at the Surprise location the month before and it was fantastic as usual. We'll stick to that spot instead when we want to "shell" out a couple...

If I would have written this review shortly after the location opened I would have handed it four stars - easily. I say four stars because five stars is one of those things that only time can provide. Is the quality consistent and consistently great? Then that is a five star experience. Let's just say that this location is going down hill - and down hill fast. My latest experience - I ordered online and specifically asked on the order that it be prepped for a 745PM pick up time. A request that was clearly printed on the top of the receipt I received and has never been an issue prior. I've ordered ahead many times with no problems. Shortly after 7PM, I received confirmation that my order was ready to be picked up. I immediately called the location and specified that I had requested a 745PM pick up time - to which the response was that the request didn't show on the order. I mentioned how odd that was because, again, it was printed very clearly on my receipt with both "please" and "thank you" included as just good manners. I let the person know that I specified a time because I was still en route to the location and would not be there until around the time I originally requested. I was informed by the young woman that things would be taken care of. Apparently, "taken care of" means set aside for almost an hour because when I got it home that's exactly what it obviously was. The gumbo was cold and congealed into one solid unit, both angry baskets (catfish and fried shrimp) had also become lukewarm at best with nearly everything sticking together. The onion rings were flimsy, cold, and soggy. The items that were actually supposed to be cold - the sides of ranch and cole slaw - were not cold. I was initially excited about having some good quality Cajun food in the area when Angry Crab opened this location, and again, when they first opened I would have said they knocked it out of the park. Now, sadly, it seems the honeymoon is over and I may as well go across the...

My partner and I came here on August 24th 2024, a Saturday evening for dinner. The parking lot is massive so we were able to easily find a spot to park right by the restaurant. We only had to wait about 3 minutes to be seated at a booth.

I'm a plus size individual (24w) and the booth had plenty of space on both sides. It was comfortable getting in and out of the booth, and I didn't feel squished.

We ordered a few things: the Bucket of Bicardi, an 805, Pepsi, the calamari appetizer, and the Boil for Two with an additional half pound of scallops.

Bucket of Bicardi was delicious. It had citrus and came with a cherry and orange slices. It's massive, so it may be best as a shared drink.

My partner had the 805 and he said it was "cool, refreshing, crisp, tasty!"

The calamari appetizer was delicious. There was a big serving size. They came with a lemon wedge and a wee cup of marinara sauce. The texture was crunchy and the squid was not rubbery at all.

We ordered the Boil for Two with additional scallops which came with: 2 cobs of corn, red potatoes, sausage, 2 lobster tails, king crab, snow crab, shrimp, and scallops. We ordered ours with just a traditional boiling and at a spice level of 1 (because we are both weenies about spice). It was so delicious! And filling! We are both concerned that there might not be enough food for the price, but it was just the perfect amount! You do need to crack the crab and lobster, and remove the shells from the shrimp.

The Boil For Two was presented in it's boil bag, along side a bucket for your trash, paper plates, large gloves, nutcrackers, "zippers", and forks. So you have all the tools you'll need to open up the shells with ease.

Our server, Alicia, was very attentive and pleasant. She was very helpful on helping us make decisions and providing us with beverage refills in a timely manner!

We had an excellent time at this restaurant and look forward to making this a regular dinner spot...
