Honey B's Macarons — Restaurant in Four Corners States

After having breakfast with a friend the other day, she suggested we stop into Honey B's Macarons so we could bring some "goodies" home. Having never had a macaron before (plus having an extreme sweet tooth!) I was quite curious, so I absolutely agreed. We entered the sunny spotless shop and were greeted by the owner who was extremely pleasant. Though my friend had been there many times, I got to hear all about these amazing delectable cookies. All are made by scratch and there are no artificial ingredients. There were many flavors to choose from, all calling my name from the glass bakery case in front of me. After several minutes of excruciating debate in my mind, I picked 3 different flavors. Oh my goodness!!! Absolutely fantastic - as the owner had told us, there is a slight crunch as you bite into them, followed by a creamy amazing burst of flavor from the filling that is inside. We were advised that once the box was opened, any remaining macarons had to be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, and this knowledge even heightened the whole experience as we knew we were eating something truly delicate and fresh. Michelle at Honey B’s Macarons went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding! We unfortunately had to postpone our wedding a year out due to the pandemic and Michelle didn’t skip a beat! She stayed in touch with us the entire time, keeping in constant communication and making sure we were taken care of. After sampling ALL of her amazing macarons we chose 3 savory flavors for our big day and 3 colors that matched our wedding and florist colors PERFECTLY! We got so many compliments on the macaron towers at the wedding and the best thing was that all of our gluten free guests could enjoy them! We ended up having way more cookies than we needed but people enjoyed them all throughout the night and even took a bunch home! Even better, we ended up with some after and since they last for 6 months in the freezer we have been enjoying them daily! Michelle also provided our adorable confetti cutting cake and it was DELICIOUS! I went in for seconds immediately. Due to watching The Great British Baking show, Macarons have become a new interest for our family. We have been sampling them around town (Whole Foods, a kiosk at Park Meadows ect..) and even baking some of our own. For weeks my son has been asking to visit this particular store. As a treat, we went Thursday afternoon and were very disappointed with the service. We arrived enthusiastic about flavors, full of innocent questions, and a desire to learn more, purchase and sample some Macarons. But immediately upon arrival one of my sons was scolded for his interest in a decorative display, and answers to questions we had about ingredients were given in a very short and curt manner. Our excitement was quickly extinguished. It was so uncomfortable and we felt so unwelcome that we stayed less than three minutes. Rather than taking an opportunity to cultivate our interest, and answer questions from a passionate young baker, we were left feeling like our visit was an intrusion.
