I am 60 years old and have been going to McDonald's since I can remember. I have been to restaurants in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and most of the 50 states. I know what it is. It is a fast food restaurant. But this experience in Evergreen, Colorado, is quite simply the worst experience I have had in any fast food restaurant anywhere, and that is saying something because I have eaten in some cheesy dives. An employee stood at the order counter and told us we had to order at the kiosk. That was not a problem, except that at the kiosk One is directed to take a table tent with a table number and the food would be brought to them. For the entire time we were in the restaurant, every order placed at a kiosk was hollered out by number from the counter and the customer was required to go there and get their food. This was not for lack of employees behind the line. The food was unbelievably disgusting. The sandwich is ordered were a double quarter pounder with cheese and a crispy chicken sandwich. Both were delivered to our table by us and both were hard and ice cold and the buns had disappeared into the meat of each sandwich. The french fries had congealed into an ice block of solid potato mass. Upon returning to the order counter with our tray we were faced with such icy glares from the employee standing there that we just placed the tray on the counter and walked out. I wish I had a good YouTube video to share with you of me clearing the counter and tossing things about, because that is what I felt like doing. But I do not, nor do I ever expect to be an evergreen Colorado ever again. I do not suggest you go...
Read moreI was homeless in evergreen colorado. I was living aside the highway'retaining wall next to the open space line. They knew I was homeless and I asked for as many hours as I could get. this resulted in 10-12 hour shifts 7 days a week with no days off. I wanted this I agreed to this. My first check was only 300 dollars, when asked about the money they told me the remaining fu ds would be on the next check. Mind you this McDonalds did bi weekly checks. I worked another 2 weeks and my 2nd check was only 140. Less than my first check. I was missing aprox 80 hours getting paid 13 an hour. I told them i didnt care about the over time i just want to get paid what I worked for. When I asked about the missing money on my 2nd check they fired me on spot and told me if i didnt leave they would call the cops. me being homeless and stolen from at this point I told them to call the cops and I would be right there at the front counter waiting for them. The cops showed (the cops knew who I was at this point because i was homelesa up in evergreen for 2 months prior. and knew I was working everyday there because they were regulars) The cops were told both sides of the story and the cops were on my side and believed me. However because no law was "broken" it was a civil matter. Knowing of my possition McDonalds used my financial situation to their advantage. As I did not have the money to bring them to court over it. Because of this I was/am out of over $1,000. McDonalds kf Evergreen, CO stole and used a homeless 23 year old. I hate...
Read moreMy wife and I went inside and ordered at the kiosk. There was only one customer in the entire restaurant yet we couldn't find a clean table anywhere. So I decided to clean a table on my own. As I was cleaning the table a gentleman who was nicely dressed brought us our food. I said to him I am having to clean a table since there were no clean tables anywhere and maybe he or someone else should be working on that. He just laughed and walked away. Directly behind us was a large dining table which obviously had an employee taking her break at that table talking loudly on a phone call which was on speaker. Then other employees would wander over to the table and then get on their phones ignoring what needed to be done. I watched as a couple of large parties came in wanting to all sit together and looked toward that table maybe hoping the employee would give up the table. She just ignored them. For a McDonald's hoping to remain successful this is a bad way of doing it. Food was mediocre and coffee was warm. I've lived in Evergreen for thirty years and have enjoyed dining there occasionally. But today disappointed me and my wife for...
