Came with a group of 9 family members for my mother’s 77 bday. And sadly it was the worst experience there I’ve ever had. Started off with the waiter spilling two huge glasses of water all over our bags and table.
Then when I asked if we could move to another section due to the tight constraints they said no until I called a manager over who then suggested it.
We got a new waiter and she was so slow. We sat there for over an hour and half before our meals started coming out.
Birthday girls ribs were horrible. Our dad ordered a med rare New York Strip and they sent a med well round steak that wasn’t even a strip.
I will say my ribeye even tho they over cooked mine as well( I didn’t want to wait and kept it) was still very good.
Being our waitress was so slow we were placing items cleared from our table to the one next to us because it was not behind used and she actually yelled at us and told us to stop. She had to keep cleaning the table!! Yeah! It’s because you don’t clean our table of 9 people trying to make room for their food!
So the drenched bags, slow service, and shady waitress, bad food orders, and overcooked steaks was the way my mom’s bday dinner went.
What made matters worse is that I asked at the end for something for her bday and the waitress told me they don’t have free deserts!! Don’t you think after all the mishaps, the least they could have done was give a free dessert to her. Nope!
And that is why we will not be going back there. We should have had appetizers and free desserts just for the fact they drenched my husband’s Louis Vuitton bag. Not to mention all the other things wrong with...
Read moreFirst time to a Texas Roadhouse, likely my last. Walked in and saw the steaks in the display case and they looked great! Unfortunately they were not what I was served. Just to start I want to say I sat at the bar and the bartenders and drinks were great. Unfortunately my steak wasn't. I ordered the 16oz boneless ribeye. After seeing the 12oz ribeyes on display in the case all perfectly butchered and at least 3/4" thick I assumed the 16oz would be the same shape and thicker especially since I ordered it rare. Boy was I wrong. The first one came out and was so unevenly butchered it was 1/2" thick on one side and down to less than an 1/8" on the other. Needles to say the cook temp ranged from rare to well done. The server put in an order for another. This one came out rare throughout. But unfortunately it was so thinly cut(thinner than a flank steak) that it only had grill marks on one side and the other side barely touched the grille. I wasn't going to try again. When I question the thickness of the steak I was told they're all like that. The person next to me had the 16oz prime rib and his was 3 times as thick as mine! Upon leaving I pointed out the thickness of the steaks in the display case to my bartender/ server and she told me I can pick out my steak next time! Again the issue wasn't with my servers. It's with the butchering of the steaks and training of the cooks. What experienced cook or chef will use a thinly cut steak when it's ordered rare unless that's all they have. Which all falls on management . I felt more like there was a little bait and switch going on. That said...
Read moreWe dined at this Texas Roadhouse this evening. What a HUGH mistake. We have dined at our Mn. Texas Roadhouse numerous times and never had a bad meal. Tonight after getting seated it took a long time before our server appeared. She apologized and took our order. We both ordered the sirloin steak. Our salads came and then about 8 minutes before our dinner arrived the side of mushrooms was delivered to our table. They were barely lukewarm. Our server was not around, so a different server took them back. I swear he brought the same bowl of mushrooms back and yes cold. I had to get up and look for our server to get hot mushrooms. Our meals came. My husband's steak was tough and mine was tough & grisly. Our server came and asked if our meal was alright. We both said no. No offer to get a new steak. She went & talked to the manager and he said he would take the mushrooms off of our bill. We then asked to talk with the manager. He finally came to our table. He refused to do anything with our bad meals. My plate still had steak on it, about 1/3 of it that I could not chew because of all the gristle. He refused to do anything. My husband ate his and it was really chewy. On mine I had taken 2 bites before flagging our server down to complain. She did not have the manager come to our table until the 2nd time of complaining of our problem. The manager claimed he walked by our table and we didn't say anything. He did not walk by our table after our steaks were delivered. He came by when we were eating our salads. Needless to say we will NEVER dine here again. The manager was very rude & all he had...
