I was disgusted by your restaurant. When I was walking in there were three cooks smoking cigarettes outside the back door by the kitchen.
The hostess did not acknowledge us as we walked in and three separate servers asked us if we would need a high chair or booster seat, and i said yes please to a booster seat. The hostess continued drinking her drink and sucking on her straw and finally said, "so you want a high chair or a booster seat or what?" so I said "we already told three other people we need a booster seat". after about 5 minutes of us standing there a manager (hard to tell by how she was dressed) came over and told the hostesses they had to do bathroom checks, and received a loud sigh from the staff with a "I did that last time" complaint thrown in. The manager had no idea how long we were standing there. I don't care what time it is. No customer wants to think of your bathrooms at any time before sitting down to eat, much less hearing your staff complain that they don't like cleaning the bathrooms.
When I was sat in the back restaurant at a filthy table the first thing I noticed other than the black/brown filth that came off the table as I wiped it with a baby wipe, I also noticed the open kitchen. The open kitchen allowed me to see that the cooks were not wearing gloves and were handling food with their bare hands. The same cooks that were just smoking cigarettes outside the back door.
I showed the server the pile of used baby wipes that i used to clean his table that were jet black and I said "I understand this might nto be your fault but you should know whoever is/was responsible for your section before us did not clean this table." The server gave me the sing-song chirp if irritation and attitude and said "do you want me to get a napkin or something and take those or something?" and I said yes please. The dirty wipes sat at our table for 15 more minutes while our server disappeared from the restaurant. Our drinks were not even delivered until right before our appetizer came out.
The service was slow to a crawl. I ordered a Chili burger with sweet potato fries. The burger came out lukewarm and covered with so much chili sauce that the bun was soaked and not that much chili. The fries were ice cold and i got all the broken and burnt ends that were obviously cleaned out of a previous batch of fries that were dropped at least 20-30 minutes ago judging by the temperature and look of them.
Our server did not come back to refill our drinks after about 45 minutes of being in the restaurant without food, so I eventually grabbed a food runner who was actually working and asked her to get the manager for me. The manager walked over to the table and was more interested in talking to my baby than listening to my complaint. She made excuses for why the food came out slow was because they were short staffed and it was busy. I looked around and saw numerous empty tables. She was not dressed as a manger of a restaurant should be in my opinion. I assume there is a dress code for Management so they are easily noticed as the staff must wear uniforms. She was in stretch pants and a colored shirt. She eventually remade the fries which were actually very good when they finally came out, but by this time we were tired and no longer interested in eating and my one year old had spent too long in the high chair and we needed to leave. I left the food, paid the overpriced bill and left a 10% tip against my better judgement.
This was a waste of time and money. The slogan of Red Robin YUM is a joke.
I do not want this gift card. I want my money back. I do not want to go back to your restaurant and i believe many other guests had a similar experience that...
Read moreIt had been some time since my last trip to a Red Robin and this location left a lot to be desired. In my mind, the gourmet with this company is gone.
In terms of food, it was okay. Burgers were dry, lettuce tasted like bleach, tomatoes were just alright. Burger toppings for specialty burgers were skimpy. Overall just poor quality ingredients. Barbecue sauce tasted like sugar syrup, beef patties looked like frozen ones I could buy at Walmart. I say that because they had an unnaturally perfect shape for a restaurant burger. Props for the turnaround time, but our meals came before the appetizer of fried pickles which were also just okay.
Service left a lot to be desired as well. Our primary waitress was great. At the table in no time and getting orders and drinks as fast as she could. She seemed to really care about the experience and was doing an a amazing job for a busy concert night. The front of house reception was okay, definitely slow. The staff running food were rude and unprofessional. As mentioned, entrees showed up before the appetizer. The person running our entrees arrived at the table and asked "are you waiting for a double?" Confusing question considering you should know if the table has a double burger at it. Didn't specify the type, just asked blankly. It took us a second to understand what he was asking and we said "excuse me what" and he had a massive attitude replying with "you know, a double? An extra patty? Did you order one? This is a yes or no man, come on..." Dude made me and my table feel terrible, especially when you factor in the food was pretty mediocre for the price. Another server followed up with the appetizer shortly after and had some snide remark and seemed almost confused dropping the appetizer off. The crew running food really ruined the whole experience.
Overall the aesthetic was drab, generic, and cheap. Red Robin is a shell of itself. It wants to look elevated and fancy inside but it serves cheap burgers at ridiculous price points, especially at this location. Really disappointed with the service that didn't come from our waitress, she was a sweet older woman who took care in her work.
Overall, if you're at Patriot Place or Gillette for a show or just a day out, skip this place and head to Five Guys or anywhere else. I'm only giving this two stars for our great primary waitress, the rest of the experience...
Read moreMy family and I came here after catching a movie at the cinema along with my 88 year mother so I went a head to get a table for 11. I walked in and no one was at the front entrance to seat us so I waited about 2 minutes and then walked to the right past a dining area(seated with people) into another and stood still for a minute and turned and went back to the front and waited about 4 minutes this time and a hostess walked up and asked how many? I answered 11and she sure, just give me a minute to set a table for you and I will be right back. She came back in 2 minutes saying that they stop seating at 10 and that we could order food and take it outside to eat it and by this time it was 9:54pm so I told her no, we will leave and after explaining to my family what happened I went back inside to explain to her that I waited and no one came out and it still wasn't 10 o'clock anyway but I knew that someone in the back told her to tell us that instead of coming out and tell us themselves. My son and nephew went in and asked to speak to a manager and she said that she will go get them and went in the back. After we waited with no one coming out, my nephew went to the work area and asked to speak to a manager and Genesis Recinos came out with a lame excuse until I told her that I was there before 10 waiting, only to be told that the hostess was new and that they will be more than happy to accommodate us and I told her that I wouldn't trust any food that comes out of that kitchen for us after what just happened and I told her that the hostess said that she was going to set up a table for us until someone told her not to and that was not fair to her or us. The manager should have apologized from the beginning instead of making excuses for the person that told her to say they stopped seating at 10. If she would have been up front and owned the mishap from the start I would have...
