We did a catering package for 75 people. We ordered Italian beef, chicken, mostaccoli and Italian salad. We also paid for delivery and set up for our event. The driver didn’t know anything about our set up. We were left to set up our food, unpackage silverware that were brought in multiple sets and all of our food ourselves . We then noticed there wasn’t a ladle for the large tub of salad dressing and no small spoons for the extra sauce and parmesan cheese that was provided. It was also tacky to serve our roles in the Toronto bag they came in. Our party was at an outside venue and we had a delay our dinner time to obtain proper serving utensils and unpackage and set up everything that was brought to us. It was embarrassing, stressful and a huge inconvenience when trying to entertain 75 guests when we are expecting to have this done for us . After calling and speaking to the catering manager, she did apologize for the error on their part and took full responsibility. She credited us $10 from our set up fee. Gee thanks. I would’ve appreciated a nicer compensation for the inconvenience and embarrassment they caused us. For this alone we will never cater...
Read moreAfter living in the City for over 6 years and eating some of the best italian deli sandwiches, I would have thought it was difficult to find similar places to Grazianos or D’Amatos in the South Burbs.
But this place has some amazing deli meats of the highest quality and I dont have to travel over 40 miles to get it.
This place looks like a typical italian deli and market in the Little Italy neighborhood. The Godfather sub with supprasata, prosciutto, capicola & mortadella was amazing on a hard roll. The chew of the bread with high quality meats and the dressing with lettuce, tomato, onion and provolone was like being in Little Italy. Also, the pricing is fair and the sub was bigger than chain restos and tastier.
And their cannoli was also a treat. Sweet ricotta and pistachio was very enjoyable.
Lastly, the staff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Definitely my new...
Read moreUpdated review: On November 10th 2019 I purchased 5lbs of my favorite Italian sausage. Except this time it wasn't very good at all..it had a salty over processed texture that was rubbery, like the cheap meat you get at Walmart with additives. There were tendons and connective tissue that were like chewing on rubber bands that I had to keep spitting out. Also found a few blood vessels, the little round hollow tube that looks like a small macaroni noodle. Unfortunately it seems they started using a cheaper grade pork. The seasoning was still good but now I have 5lbs of sausage that I'll probably throw out. Very disappointing!!!!
Original review: Great hot italian sausage! Your everyday chain supermarket sausage has been bad for so long you kinda forget how real sausage is supposed to taste. Nice to see a family owned deli still making...
