Amigos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Frankfort

Absolutely loved our food here at Amigos. We moved out to Manhattan recently and have been trying new Mexican food places nearby. Took about 6 months before finding "the spot". This is food authentic and reminds me of Chicagos top spots.. Still about a 20 minute drive for us, I say it's worth it. Even my toddlers loved it. Steak burrito, chicken tacos (i add sour sour cream and avocado with corn tortilla), chicken quesadillas, horchata (soo good), and even the sauces are great. My husband also had the lengua tacos and said, "finally, perfectly seasoned. This hit the spot". Speaking with the server, I learned that this family run restaurant opened just before covid shutdown and is still trying to make a name for itself. I say the food speaks for itself. Once word around towns get it, this place will flourish. And Amigos lives up to it's name. So friendly and treated us like friends upon first visit. Easily my new favorite and I let them know it! Soooo yum 😋

Amigos Mexican Restaurant is absolutely amazing! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Unfortunately for myself but fortunate for you I'm leaving this review so that you or anyone you know won't have to expereince this restaurants horrible food and customer service. I have been to a few of the restaurants(Social 45 & Bear Down BBQ) in this mall area and they were amazing.. So I wanted to give Amigos a chance. NOT AGAIN. If you want lousy experience this is your place. It was obvious they do not get alot of business but that wasn't going to stop me from supporting them but I see why now. Note: I did ask to speak with a manager. Supposedly there was no manager there. To the manager/owner it would be wise to give your employees training on proper customer service and how to resolve at fault food preparation...
