If I were Joe, I'd be turning in my grave. I've been a loyal customer of Aurelio's since I was a little child. We've hosted many parties at this location, and it has been pretty good. Today, per usual, we hosted our family Christmas party, but, unfortunately, we encountered a serious problem.
I called in the Spring to book the room and spoke with a manager. I asked about the party room and was told we'd have the whole space. I was told there could be a party coming after us, but we would have the whole space for our party. Fast forward to today, we arrived to a room split by a very cheap, very ugly divider. The Christmas tree was on the side of the other party (which also had more roaming space), despite us having booked our party first. There was no space to stand and mingle while waiting for pizza to come out. There was really no space to "party" in the "party room." It was merely tables crammed in to a tiny space.
Nothing was immediately offered to remedy the situation. We had to get upset, suggest some solutions, and start moving tables ourselves before they were willing to help make a tiny bit more space.
Meanwhile, we asked for a discount to make up for our troubles (and for getting half the space we were told we'd receive). We were told there was zero possibility of even the slightest discount. Apparently, rebuilding good will is not on the menu at this location!
I'm sure they will reply to this post that their website says parties under 50 people get a split room. But, remember, I didn't book this online. I spoke with a manager who told me we had the whole room. We spoke to managers multiple times during the planning process between the booking and the event. Not once did they mention another party was sharing the room with us. Therefore, the excuse of fine print on a website is unacceptable when the staff are telling us the opposite in the lead up to the event.
This experience is indicative of 2nd generation greed. Profits over people. If you want to go to an establishment that still cares about their customers (and their family name), look elsewhere. You won't...

There is something about the experience of living in the town for years that I never experienced before my late 20's. Now, I have enjoyed over 20 years in Frankfort and Aurelio's has been the backdrop to so many memories.
All the hot lunches at school, so many of them I have had the opportunity to work side by side in the kitchen, hustling out slices to the kids. Always with some extra pizza for the teachers and staff.
I have watched acceptance speeches, attend parties, gathered volunteers for a lunch and more in the quaint dining room. There was always a bit of excitement when the kids could make their own ice cream with sprinkles of course!
When my son started working there and brought home some leftover slices we sat and heard about all the fun he had. Not once has he been less than excited to go to work, it's the family environment that brings it all together. It's that same love that goes into the pizza.
The sweetness of the sauce, the crispy bits of cheese on the cracker thin crust. As we like to say here, it tastes like nostalgia. A pie not to be missed!
We may have a LOT of pizza places around town but none like Aurelio's. In the words of Joe...Tell 'em...

Not what I’ve come to expect from Aurelio’s. Third Aurelio’s we’ve hit on this trip, with no issues from Palos Heights or Bourbonnais. This evening’s order was placed online, with a pickup time of 5:55 to 6:05.
Arrived just after 6:00 and order wasn’t ready, so we parked in the pickup area as directed. After 15 more minutes of waiting I went inside to try to see what was holding up the order. My two pizzas were then brought out; they may have been coming out at that time anyway. Got back to the hotel room to a disappointment. Both pizzas were cold, like they might have been sitting around for 15 minutes. The sausage pizza was overcooked, and the mushroom and onions pizza looked like the onions were added as an afterthought.
We’ve dined at this location many times in the past without issue. Maybe just a busy Saturday night, and others may have not had any problems. We’ll be patronizing the Tinley Park location...
