KupAJoe Cafe — Restaurant in Frankfort

Im giving 3 stars only because I loved your food since I found you guys on door dash. Even shouted out to everyone and told all my friends about how amazing the breakfast was.... we’ve made this our regular Sunday morning routine.

Today I was extremely disappointed. I placed a $57 door dash order for mine and my husband’s regular breakfast combos & 3 kids breakfasts. My dasher arrives and hands me one bag of food. My husbands breakfast and one of the kids meals. I called the restaurant ... the woman on the phone was actually super rude and blamed my driver for leaving the food behind. I asked if they could re-make my food so I don’t have hour old crepes by the time they get here... she said “ya we’ll do that”. You guys didn’t do that. The door dash driver said she asked verbatim is this everything and they told her yes when handing her one bag for 5 people (no drinks).

I’m literally so disappointed in the service this morning. I thought I found my new favorite place. This whole experience has been a major turn off. PLEASE let the person who answers your phones know that even though it may not be HER PROBLEM that my food order was wrong but when you partner with door dash you should be working together to make sure orders going out the door are correct and complete to avoid this nonsense...

First impression. Staff is ok. Some of the servers seem better than others. Cleanliness is also ok. Our table was sticky and they just dusted of the table.

On to the food. My wife ordered French toast with a side of bacon and scrabbled eggs, and a cappuccino. I had the working mans platter.

Wife's food - French toast was amazing. I would recommend it if you are a fan and enjoy French toast. The were a negative. The best I could describe them would be the boxed scrabbled eggs and Oscar Myers bacon. Not good. Didn't eat them. Finally the Cappuccino umm. That's what we ordered and what we got was a cup of coffee with milk.. When we asked about it the server told us it was a special they were trying out and not the cappuccino... Sooo you just did what you want?

Husbands food - hungry mans platter is three eggs I chose over easy and they were good, hash browns which were amazing, your choice of sausage which I chose links and they were pretty good. Also bacon which again no thanks, and toast which was good.

Busy! Expect a wait. That's pretty much the only downfall- it's so popular! No matter the season, I always enjoy this place with friends! Lots of local families seem to dine here. Has a very suburban feeling to it. Thus, the noise volume can be annoying loud like most breakfast spots due to peoples' voices and clanging dishes FYI. The Gluten-free bread here is amazingly delicious, which can be rare to find at restaurants these days! both tables and booths are here. Tight spaces though fyi so if you need a lot of space just be aware of that. I highly recommend regardless. In summer, the patio offers more seating and space. As far as the menu goes, they offer SO MUCH! 😁Such an eclectic variety- it's impressive. (I'm a foodie and I get excited over their specials lol). I ordered lunch to go, after eating breakfast with my friend. We both enjoyed EVERYTHING. That's how much I love this place. We both agreed they need to offer more flavored/fun coffee drinks, since Kup of Joe IS their name! Everything is always delicious though, and our server was sweet and...
