I just moved to the area from Dearborn Michigan. Where I am from there is a large Indian population and a lot of Indian restaurants. I have eaten at many different Indian restaurants in Michigan and in this area and this is one of the best places I have been to. The food is absolutely incredible. I have been here twice now. The first time I ordered carry out palak paneer and Samosas. Both really tasty. This time I came for the buffet on Saturday. I came right at noon when they opened and the food was all ready and fresh. Literally felt like I arrived in heaven. I stuffed myself with naan, chicken tikka masala, samosas, chicks madras, lamb biryani, gulab juman , rice pudding, masala tea etc. I will definitely be coming back here regularly.
Please come and support this local business! The workers are very kind and the food is incredible. I came on a Saturday at noon and I was the only one here. If this same restaurant was located where I am from in Michigan I guarantee it would be packed! Especially during lunch buffet on a Saturday! I love the food so much, I want to spread the word and make sure people in this area who have never eaten here or maybe even never had Indian before would try it, because it is crazy delicious.
If you have never had Indian food before here is what you can expect. They have very flavorful spices and seasonings, if you like a lot of heat they have that, if you like sweet treats try the rice pudding, or the gulab juman(kind of like a donut while soaked in sugar syrup), and masala tea is also very delicious.
Please come and support this local restaurant! I recommend coming during the lunch buffet, but even if you come for dinner the prices are very reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants I have been to.
My one hope for this restaurant is that they would develop a website to help marketing and advertising. I would hate to see this place go out of business because nobody knows it’s here. It would be a damn shame because people don’t know what they are...
Read moreMy first visit was for lunch on a weekday. Everyone was friendly and polite. We were seated immediately. I ordered chicken tikka masala, samosas, and naan. Who knew there were so many flavors of naan? They ask what spice level you would like. Always a plus for wimpy Americans like me and mine was just right. Our meals were delivered quickly, piping hot, the portions were large and everything was delicious. I had enough leftover for the next days dinner and it was just as delicious as the first day. They have a nice menu selection that includes vegetarian and non vegetarian with chicken, shrimp or lamb. Their menu even mentions mutton and goat for the more adventurous. Prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be returning. If you like Indian food I highly recommend you stop in and give them a try. They are closed on Mondays and between 3 an. d 4 daily. Big changes. You can no longer get food from the menu. You have to choose from what they put out. So my daughter and I went for lunch and it was horrible. No samosas. Naan was cold and so tough I could hardly tear it in pieces. It also wasn't the flavor I wanted, just the two pieces left . The chicken tika was ok although not hot and the sauce I wanted was nonexistent. The other entres were goat something and muttin something. Never going back. I understand that dinner can be ordered from the menu but I don't get out in the evening. I don't think they will last here. I really had high hopes for this place. Rating...
Read moreDining at Singh Biryani was my first taste of authentic Indian cuisine. I’ve bought the jarred sauces at the store and didn’t expect them to compare to the real thing, though I enjoy them. But wow—getting food here was so delightful. Huge chunks of deliciously fresh vegis sautéed perfectly in the dishes we got—chicken tikka masala and chicken Biryani. We also got a salad and the garlic naan since there were so many suggestions for the naan in other reviews. Like others mentioned, portions are large and served family style. I ate my leftovers as 2 more meals! Everything was very aromatic and I can’t say enough about the freshness and flavors. There were also several other items on the menu that were enticing, so we have no choice but to repeatedly go back to try more.
The ambience inside is also very nice. I had never been in here when it was the Chinese restaurant beforehand, but it didn’t look like much from the outside. Service was great and we watched several people come and go with takeout boxes, so I think it is no longer a secret that this new location is serving delicious food. I hope and pray they are a new staple in the Kent restaurant scene that sticks because there is nothing else quite like it in the area and they are doing it...
