Devita's Market — Restaurant in Franklin

Very good sandwiches. Nothing fancy so if you’re looking for gourmet sandwiches like on Newbury St in Boston I suggest going to Newbury St in Boston. That said this place is solid, Franklins best sandwiches in my opinion. They have other stuff, convenient store stuff, great chip selection, and a pretty decent liquor selection for a non-liquor specific store. I have not had a hot sandwich from there but I always see people buying them around lunchtime. Cold cuts are great, not skimpy and they cut most of them when you order so super fresh. DO NOT SHOP AT DEVITA'S MARKET if you are not a lifelong Franklin local. While in town to oversee a relative's property, I decided to pick up some alcohol from this establishment, and was told in no uncertain terms that "we can't accept out of state ID, due to too many underage purchases". I am nearly 40, and balding, and was incredulous to this explanation. I cant help but feel targeted for some reason, but no other explanation was given.

The owner even told me to shop at Franklin Liquors right down the block, which was very friendly and had no issue with my ID, so I hope you will choose to shop there,...

Mike and his people get all of our lunch business because for one they are very good about accomodating our needs.

We have actually had people at other delis quibblle about putting together a complete ready to pick up order. Mike's people are more than willing to box up everything sandwiches, chips, drinks and have it ready for a quick pick up and go.

Everyone is pressed for time these days and this is a very nice extra effort that makes a difference for us.

Then consider the food quality, the generous portions, and the fair prices and you would have to be nuts to be going to a franchise pizza or...
