Shared a big platter for our Christmas office exchange party. The ribs and brisket were amazing with the different sauces. I loved the ribs even without sauce. But overall as a meal, I felt that your whole plate including the sides has to be great in order for me to rate it a 4 star. A 5 star would mean an amazing meal and flavorful that I would have nothing to complain about. With that said, the chicken was super dry that I had to eat it with the beans and slaw. Wasn't really a fan of the beans nor the slaw since it's so sweet. The corn is just corn. The cornbread served at the beginning was great. Very flaky and not too buttery, just enough sweetness as well. The fries served was just basic, I don't even know if it deserves any attention. Overall, I would definitely come back but only for the ribs and brisket. The other stuff, I wouldnt recommend..

Mom and I just had a delicious experience at Famous Dave's! Couldn't decide, so we went with the Monday Pork Sandwich Special and Burnt Ends Appetizer!! Wish I had this place at home--Willow Springs, MO!

The food was really good. The beef brisket is to die for and don't forget the macaroni and cheese. The corn is not that sweet, cornbread is for someone with a very sweet tooth.

To clarify this is the carry out only location inside granite city, some of the reviews are from the former Cool Springs location that was an actual Famous Daves Restaurant.

I am a huge fan of Famous Daves. They are very big in the Midwest where my family lives. That said I know their food well. I can tell the difference between their food and food from somewhere else.

That’s my issue here. The Wilbur Beans did not taste anything like I’m used to. The taste, the texture was off. The Mac n cheese’s jalapeƱos and corn felt undercooked. Also found a couple bones in the pulled chicken, though it happens with meat from time to time with meat.

I didn’t have any issues with the restaurant itself, other than their website not letting me use a gift card to pay, I’m not sure if you can just walk into Granite City and place an order. I just ordered on their website and paid with my credit card, and used the gift card in Smyrna today. Smyrna is a ā€œrealā€ Famous Daves, so I suggest heading there. It’s on point.

Food was ready when they said it would be, staff was certainly pleasant enough, though I think I only dealt with them for literally 10 seconds. Convenient parking, easy to get in and out of (has traffic light)

I think the main issue here is the food is being cooked/prepared in a kitchen that was not designed for Famous Daves. Imagine if Burger King operated a ghost kitchen out of a McDonald’s restaurant… their food prep methods are completely different. There’s no way that food would be consistent with a regular Burger King.

I guess this is an OK BBQ place, but I don’t feel it should be called Famous Daves. The food here just...

Ordered takeout from the Famous Dave's ghost kitchen operating out of Granite City. After arriving at exactly the time it would be ready, I waited an additional 10 minutes at the front of Granite City. No host to greet anyone. I understand these restaurants are short-staffed. I'm not knocking Famous Dave's for that. (Actually, my order was waiting for me behind the counter. Wish I had known it was mine...I would have just picked it up myself!) My issue is with the actual food. Ordered the Georgia chopped pork with coleslaw and corn. Got instead two corn on the cobs (ice cold) and no cornbread biscuits to be found anywhere. There was hardly any bbq sauce on the dry, unseasoned pork (and no extra sauce OR silverware in the bag. Can I get a plastic fork, at least???) The coleslaw was the only item that was half decent. For the price paid, I am very disappointed in Famous Dave's. They usually have great bbq. Not this time. I don't think I'll be back...
