Fortune House — Restaurant in Franklin

Let me tell you about the fortune house. Those that have eaten there and not eating there for a while and those that are new in town as well that have a lot of people to feed. As far as the quality of the food, things have always been good but I think they got a little bit better. But they have changed their portion sizes to their meals than what they did when I moved to this area four years ago. For like 8 bucks you get a house loan. That's what beef chicken and shrimp and veggies. But it is an entire square to go box totally full. And I'm talking at the ones that have three sections in the box bigger than a dinner plate is totally full to the top bulging out. They're general is the same way the crab rangoons. I think you get two more than used to egg rolls got cheaper on and on. So if you're looking for a place that is totally changed the amount of food you get and the quality is gone up. Had a great price because the prices have dropped are never have changed. I don't remember but for 20 bucks we ate off of meal for four days. Me and my spouse highly recommend this restaurant in Franklin. If you're looking for value, just watch out because you always get too much when you order and the cost goes up. But you really don't need to order that much and you'll get a ton of stuff. By the way, only take out they have discontinued the restaurant to sit in. Which is a good thing. Very friendly service from the man that owns it and has one other nice helper. You just can't beat that same people...

We love getting take out from here. The owner is super generous with portions and the food is always super hot and fresh, and always tastes good. Very consistent. Another person commented on the restaurant not knowing what has happened to the business, and that there were no customers. Well they are not open on the inside to seat people! It’s just the owner who cooks your food and takes orders and yes we do wait 20mins to 1hr or more each time. We call and ask how long the wait is or how busy it is sometimes, but usually we drop by and order, go do something, and then come back. Because it’s worth it! And please give a nice tip to him if you can. He helps people out, and we try to help him out. ❤️ I’ll be very sad if he ever closes :( He has zero issue staying busy by the way, he’s always busy. So that should tell ya something. 😋😁 The crab Rangoon are actually some of the best I’ve had. And every other thing I’ve tried I like so try...

Absolutely Terrible

Sweet and Sour chicken was very under- seasoned. No salt at all. It was extremely dry and over-cooked. The breading was stale and gummy. It was most likely made yesterday. Not fresh at all. The sauce for the chicken was extremely watered down- had no flavor whatsoever.

Steamed Pork Dumplings had no flavor, no seasoning. Pork was cooked just fine, though.

Spring Rolls were okay. Not fresh, a bit stale. They were very flavorful, though.

House Fried Rice was bland and very under-seasoned. The protein was cooked just fine, though.

Lo-Mein was the only part of the meal that was enjoyable. Very full of flavor and tasted fresh.

Won-Ton soup was okay. Again, very under-seasoned. Broth tasted like watered-down soup.

Overall the cooks there need to learn what salt is and they need to stop serving food from yesterday. You can clearly tell its not fresh. Never eating...
