Little Tennessee River Greenway — Attraction in Franklin

I'm presently going back & forth a lot between my home and Franklin, and every time I come to the greenway and run the entire length. I also come with my dog. Hard to believe some negative reviews- I think they must have been at the wrong place!! This is a FABULOUS asset for the town of Franklin and hats off to all for the effort that has gone into making this beautiful greenway what it is today. I've met people that come from Highlands & Clayton just to walk the greenway here. Points of interest, informative story boards, gardens, beautiful vistas, and yes, some "in town" scenery too....that is part of the town (lumber yard across the river) and is only a short portion of it. Several bridges with traffic that you go under, and several lovely scenic pedestrian bridges. I am looking forward to eventually making Franklin my permanent home, and the greenway is a big reason for that!!! For runners, be sure you carry...

Now I understand what the folks over at the FROG are so excited about. This is a beautiful walkway through town.

I had to walk back from Walmart to my hotel and having this as an alternative to walking through town and dealing with the traffic was great.

Plenty of benches and spots to explore. I'd definitely put some miles on here if I lived...

Oh yes one of my favorites! Depending on where you start there are many options for everyone! From walking and reading, bird watching, a playground and water feature, beautiful flowers, benches for rest, bridges, oh and can't forget the River, and the beautiful sky! No matter where you begin the entire scene is just beautiful!!!! Truly a walk through God's country everywhere!! Only thing I would recommend are bathrooms and water...
