I've been wanting to try this place for a while after hearing great things about it. It was pretty busy, with a steady flow of people coming and going. For my husband and me, the wait for a table on a Saturday morning was around 20 minutes, so we decided to sit at the bar instead. When it's just the two of us, I don't mind sitting at the bar, and I understand that bartenders are busy making drinks for other patrons. We received menus and waters shortly after sitting down, along with some honey butter dough balls. While we appreciated the treat and were excited to try them, there was no mention of what they were when they were placed in front of us. Perhaps regulars know to expect them? It took a little while for someone to take our order, but given the large menu, I understand they might want to give you time to decide. We ordered a coffee, spicy Bloody Mary, and brown sugar cinnamon latte to drink, along with a Greek omelet and Wisconsin skillet bowl to eat. Unfortunately, my latte tasted like it didn't have any espresso in it, and it looked quite pale. I didn't mention it at the time, thinking the difference might be due to ordering it iced instead of hot. However, as I watched the bar, I noticed other lattes that were much darker than mine. The food itself was good, and the portion sizes were generous--we ended up taking about half of it home. The toast that came with our meals was a bit cold and tough, and I was hoping the cheese curds in the skillet bowl would have been warmer and meltier; I initially mistook them for cheesy potatoes. Overall, we would return to try other dishes and give the service another shot, but it's not at the top of our list.

S’mores Brioche French Toast: Honey Butter Café is a delightful café that offers a wide range of breakfast and lunch options made using fresh ingredients from right here in Wisconsin for a true farm-to-table experience. Their specialty is Loukoumades (which I’ll talk about in a separate review) and organic coffee. During my visit all staff where friendly and my food came super quick. Being a nurse, I was gifted with receiving my COVID vaccine at the end of December & again in January. I needed something special to celebrate my first sit down meal in approximately a year, so I decided to go with the S’mores French Toast after being teased for weeks by the amazing pics of it on the Café’s Instagram. The decadent dish consists of graham cracker crusted brioche bread stuffed with Nutella and topped with an army of mini marshmallows, all coated in flowing chocolate syrup and powdered sugar. An actual graham cracker graces the summit as the finishing touch. The French Toast is warm, thick, sweet, soft, and chewy. Chocolate and marshmallow are the dominant flavors with hints of graham cracker and Nutella. To answer all of your questions, yes it did taste as good as it looked. I felt like I was eating breakfast at Disney World. I can’t wait to try some of their other sinfully sweet menu items in the future. Doughboy approved! If you enjoyed my review, please give it a like!Doughboy_Food_Reviews *special thanks to my waiter Liam, who was friendly and did a nice job of being attentive but not overbearing

This was our second time trying this restaurant. I ordered the S'Mores french toast and the Milk Caramel Honey Puffs. Both came as just french toast and honey puffs, and both were just drenched in chocolate syrup. It tasted like something a kid could have made at home. When we called the restaurant, we were told that we had to call Door Dash, even though we ordered through the restaurant for pickup, and also told that the caramel was "clear" so how could we prove it wasn't the Milk Caramel french toast? Well, having been drenched in what tasted like Hershey's chocolate syrup and not even being able to taste anything else, it seemed fairly conclusive. It's over-priced and sub-par and the restaurant will absolutely not do anything to make it better. Being the second time that the food quality was poor and the customer service is flippant and doesn't care, I won't be going back again. It's a shame, because this is the first negative review I've had to leave since living in Franklin, which is otherwise a very nice place.

We Love Honey Butter Cafe! The proprietor is always friendly & welcoming, even among the traffic and chatty noise. Love the online waitlist making seating/timing so convenient. Today my husband had the veg head skillet/bowl. He loved it! Crispy house potatoes, eggs done to over easy perfection! I was adventurous this morning. I ordered a Nutella latte (I assumed it would be hot, it came iced w/whip.) Still flavorful. I ordered the avocado toast, minus cucumber. Egg over easy, perfect! Arugula and tomatoes-wonderful. Smashed avocados.... problematic. Nowhere in the description on the menu did it list ONIONS. There were & I can't. (GI reaction for sure!) So sadly, that ruined my food experience, & I ended up leaving two-thirds of it on my plate. Sad because the Chipotle aioli was great! PLEASE be more detailed with ingredients...not knowing could cause a trip to urgent care. We will return again, most assuredly. It's a great place to eat. I just won't be quite so adventurous next time. 😉

I had to find out if the hype about this place is true. Indeed . . . It is!!!! This is one hot spot. First, we were told we had to wait an hour which I didn’t mind. My friend and I talked all of 30 minutes before our table was actually ready. We sat down, and our delightful waitress “Sarah” greeted us instantly with some warm honey-glazed complementary mini donuts. Mm mmm good! We could barely look at the menu as we were enjoying the mini -funnel cake tasting -donuts. I ordered the chicken and waffles which were unbelievably tasty. The chicken breast was just as big as the four waffles. I don’t remember what my friend ordered cause I was too busy pounding down my own food. Sarah was by far the best waitress I’ve ever had so far. She was personable and very knowledgeable of the menu. This was my first and definitely won’t be my last time at this delectable eatery. It is definitely worth the drive!

Went here for the first time today and I am officially obsessed. I'm recommending it to everyone that will listen. We went for brunch because my friend has heard good things, and it was all true. My omelette could not have been any fluffier, my potatoes and more flavorful. And the honey puffs were *chef's kiss*. When you sit down they give you a free little platter of them covered in honey. I liked them, but I'm not the biggest fan of real honey like that. However, I wanted to try them in a different flavor- so I got the Nutella with strawberries one. Best decision ever. The honey puffs are similar to beignets, served warm with gooey Nutella and fresh berries. The amount they gave me filled a huge to go container, and they still tasted good later when I couldn't finish them all. Cranberry mimosa also hit the spot. I'm already making another brunch date so I can go there again.
