If you are not familiar with traditional food made in India, do not go to a restaurant; without assistance. My uncle's ex wife who was my aunt even before I was born has invited me to her wedding in India to an Officer. Well, my son frequently goes to India Palace with my aunt, and little cousin. So, my fiance, my son, and I decided to go and check it out. I carefully reading the menu, and my son knowing his order, I could understand by the description on the menu and by the server my fiance was a bit lost. However, he decided to act as though he could do it by himself. My son had never seen it ordered. Well, the bitter green paste he received as a meal with white rice (though we requested our rice be substituted for my son's-nope) let's just say after dipping every item on the table tasting the dish ended in tragedy. We sent the item back barely touched, no offer on the table, I paid for the meal in full and I don't think we'll be...
Read moreWARNING: This place used to be good (last year) prior to them closing for "Re-modelling", which looks like they did absolutely nothing with the place. Apparently under new management and it shows. The buffet is only 1/3 the size or so it was, they removed the drink dispensers and some dessert and other items that were off to the side as well. The buffet selections were dismal at best, they were out of Naan so I had to wait a while for some and some of the selections were a bit odd (Like Goat Curry) which I wouldn't expect with such a limited selection of food. The owners didn't bring out my friend's drink orders (Chai tea) until AFTER they were done eating (It took so long I would have cancelled the order, personally). The Tandoori chicken on the buffet was ICE COLD! Most definitely a health hazard if I ever saw one. I will not be going back here....

The owners are wonderful and we enjoy them each and every visit--they are friendly and attentive. They upgraded the decor and it looks really good. The food was fantastic and exceeded my expectations. We had a cauliflower appetizer plus some samosas, and both were delicious. For my entree I had the aloo gobi and it was out of this world. Seriously, it's the best aloo gobi I've ever eaten--the addition of tomatoes and other bits made this a dish that I'll drive across town for, and it was cooked to perfection. All of this was reasonably-priced and as we drove away the four of us (all avid Indian cuisine eaters) declared this the best Indian restaurant in the Milwaukee area, hands down. Really...
