We went here with a group and unfortunately we didnât receive the most consistent service. We had made reservations for a group of 10. We ordered everything and eventually one half of the table got their apps, and the 4 of us on the other end didnât get ours. We didnât think anything of it until another 15-20 mins went by and the other half of the table started getting their main dishes and we still hadnât gotten our appetizers or soup. After about 10+ more minutes we finally were able to ask our waitress what was up (we didnât ask as she started bringing out the other food because we assumed it would come as they brought the other plates), and she mentioned an issue with their system and they had to re enter our side of the tables entire order. Our group definitely understood the delay, however all of us agreed it would have been nice to have gotten a heads up just so we were in the loop instead of waiting over half an hour and needing to ask ourselves. Eventually our food started coming out but with the appetizers so then we were surrounded by tons of plates instead of it coming out in stages with everyone elseâs food. Our dinner items were okay but the bruschetta unfortunately wasnât good at all - it had the flavor of refrigerator, kind of like when you store something without a lid or container and it takes on the flavor of the fridge, but it also was just old tasting and not good at all. When our checks came out, all of us (even the side of the table who got their food in a more timely manner) had been double charged and we had to get them fixed two more times because theyâd adjust one thing and forget something else. It was just a wild ride, and we assumed perhaps it was because we were a bigger group, but the restaurant wasnât that busy. The waitress definitely seemed upset by the end, and while I empathize with being overwhelmed that a big table isnât happy, some friendliness and proactive communication on her part would have made the experience a lot better overall. Instead we just felt like she didnât care as if we deserved it for being such a...
Read moreFriday night bartender on 10/20/23 @ 11:30pm. It's not busy at all. Ordered 2 Tito & Vodkas and a menu. Got the drinks, 8 minutes later no menu. Asked the folks next to us if we could use theirs. Ordered eventually... boneless wings & spinach dip. Requested specific sauces very clearly to go with the wings (ranch, BBQ, Blue cheese). Got the food. Missing a sauce. Asked for it. AND THE BARTENDER LITERALLY ROLLED HER EYES AT US and walked away in a huff. I can't remember the last time someone over the age of 15 rolled their eyes at me, especially when it was their error and poor service. We are not rambunctious patrons, not needy, not rude (I used to bartend & my husband used to cook at a similar establishment - we know how to treat people in the service industry). Waited 10 minutes for a drink, again, not busy. When my husband asked for a drink, she again ROLLED HER EYES AT US! Because this was getting uncomfortable, I asked the bartender if we had done something to upset her. She said no. I asked her why she keeps rolling her eyes at us. She claims she has not done such a thing. "I'm an eye roller but I didn't do that." But you did. TWICE.
This was a jaw dropping experience. Talk to your staff owners/managers, time to teach them some people skills. Please watch your cameras. This is all on tape.
For the first time in my entire life, I am not leaving a tip.
Side note... we ate here two weeks ago and had an AWESOME experience. Our server was funny, personable,...
Read moreWe were with some friends trying to decide where we wanted to go get some dinner. Everyone began throwing out ideas, and ultimately we decided that we all wanted to try someplace none of us had been to yet. Upon searching places online in our area, we came across Point After Pub & Grille.
I really enjoyed the sports theme of the place when we walked in. There are many unique and memorable pieces of sports memorabilia that I had fun checking out.
Looking at the menu at a place you've never been to can be quite the task. I wanted to try everything at Point After! I ended up going with the fried chicken dinner. This was a great choice! You get four pieces of fried chicken (leg, wing, breast, thigh), green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, dinner roll with butter, and a choice of an extra side (I chose the coleslaw). This was an incredible amount of food for around $13!!!
Everything was delicious. I loved the crispiness and flavor of the fried chicken. The meat was moist and flavorful. The beans were fresh and the roll was soft. The only complaint I would have would be that the mashed potatoes seemed overly dense.
Overall we all agreed that we really enjoyed our meals at Point After, and can't wait to go back...
