This is a review of the restaurant not the food. Because everybody has different taste and food. (Food was still good tho. They also have plenty of sweet treats that always see on social media.)
The waitress was very attentive and courteous. Spoke in English and Spanish. The atmosphere has cleaned up since I last came by. But it is definitely an improvement. I received my drinks and food in a appropriate time and was visited by the waitress just the right amount of time. Since my last visit they fixed the mandatory tipping service.
The manager came by the table and wanted to get our opinions on how everything was and we had a long and lengthy discussion. Apparently this restaurant is brand new and recently just opened up so anyone who has worked in the industry knows new restaurants always have rough starts and thankfully this one is willing to learn.
Apparently they have dance gatherings on the weekends. So that is definitely something to look forward to and they have their own security to turn away the bad apples.
Update: Went back a second time and tip was automatically added. It's not the restaurant who set it up automatically. It's the waitress who's...
Read moreBad service. The food was overly seasoned with a ton of salt and pepper. The waitresses aren’t focused enough and get the orders mixed up; they aren’t checking in on you as much as you’d like. The food takes a long time and they aren’t organized, which causes a delay in the kitchen. Also, we ordered 6 montucas— a Honduran dish and they said our total was $76 for three people— THREE PEOPLE. So we saw the receipt and it stated that the $76 was for ONE MONTUCA — NOT 6, BUT ONE! And, they had the audacity to include $12 of tip without asking nor consulting us— you can’t do that. You can’t feel entitled as a waiter/waitress to include a $12 tip— it’s not your money. The customer decides how much to give, not you. That’s why it was $76 dollars 🤦🏻♀️ There was also a ton of mosquitos in the bathroom and it was so gross to use. I’m Hispanic and I love my Honduran food, but not like this. 2/10 for service. 3/10 for food. 2/10 for experience. Truly horrible, I’m never going back to this restaurant ever again. If you’re reading this, please don’t go and have a negative experience like my family...
Read moreWe ordered 2 seafood soups, the soup was very tasty however my crab was bad, it smelled and tasted like ammonia. I told my server, she came back and said the manager said the other soup was ok so .... Nothing was done or offered, I bearly ate much of anything. The manager never even came over to our table. Our server was very kind and hospitable, this is why we still tip 20%. I have a Managers certification in food safety. The crab was bad and should be thrown out. Also management did not handle us well during this visit (our first and sadly our last). It's important in the food industry to listen to all customers, not just the happy ones. It's missed opportunities to grow a business well if all you do is please and respond to happy customers. This visit could have went different if a fresh soup with fresh crab was offered... Or even another meal along with an apology, something anything really. Food service isn't rocket science. Kindness and respect goes a long way. I ended up eating a pretzel from the mall for lunch today even after spending money for food I didn't...
