RT 9N Freehold, NJ May 1st,
I have been here a number of times. It is always immaculate. Service is plentiful and pleasant. The prices are a bit high, i consider this a fast food place. If you want a cup of water, it's no charge. You will get a regular size cup (not a Dixie 4oz with Ice ! It was a hot day when I was there. They looked at me and said, "You need a glass of water as I was shaking my head." They guy on the register smiled. All the food there is fried 😪, and people are trying to be conscience of their diet. They certainly can put a chicken breast on the grill as they would a burger. An option of a baked potato or possibly a sweet potato would be amazing.
Now, let's talk about the banana dessert. Outside, they have an image of vanilla pudding with slices of bananas along with vanilla wafers. I have not had that since my grandmother. My tongue was hanging out. I ordered it. It was a milkshake with no bananas or a cookie. The shake had chunks of ice on the bottom and nothing else. How disappointing. To boot, it was $ 7.50. Ugh, don't order any deserts. Go to Trader Joe's just behind the building. Cooperate - there are some great ideas here, don't let it fall...
Read moreI placed my order through the newly downloaded Shake Shack app, opting for their famous ShackBurger, fries, and a milkshake, vanilla & chocolate shake. It should be noted that they do not offer any "value meals" as the fries come separately. Once you place your order, the app tells you exactly when to expect it. If you order via the in-store kiosk, you have the option to dine in or take out, but the app only allows takeout.
The ShackBurger was good. It came loaded with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and a delicious sauce, all sandwiched in a potato bun. The Shack burger was odd because the meat was warm, but the bun was a little cold. I didn't care for the fries because they were not as warm as I would have liked. The star of the meal was their milkshake; it was incredibly thick, so much so that I had to grab a spoon because it was nearly impossible to drink through a straw. Rich, creamy, and indulgent, it was the perfect treat.
Madison, a friendly employee, was busy delivering orders and opening doors for customers. Other staff members also kept busy, wiping down tables after customers left to ensure everything was...
Read moreNewest Shake Shack location in the Monmouth area as of the time of this writing. The space layout is well thought out with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Furniture and facilities are clean as expected of a newly opened establishment and will be interesting to see how it is maintained.
Food is on point if you are a Shake Shack fan. I’ve ordered core menu items such as the Shack Burger, Shroom Burger and Shack Stack. Milk shakes are also on point.
Service (which is always the biggest variance amongst location) is top-notch. Servers manage to efficiently handle food service even during peak lunch and dinner hours. They also do it with a smile.
The only thing I would call out as not ideal is the parking arrangement. The lot is small and the spaces are tighter than what you would typically see in comparable establishments in the area. During peak times it can cause a challenge for getting in and out, which can be made worse if the drive-thru...
