Sadly, this is the closest Michaels in my area and it is 30 minutes away. The store is on the small side, but Michaels always has great sales. Last year they completely rearranged the store and I don't like it. They claim the new arrangement has provided them more space, but for things like ribbon, the isle is most definitely smaller and lacking in selection now. Their floral department is very small and only has the basics. I feel that is because they now have a large area set up for seasonal, specially floral decore (not silk stems), which to me is completely useless. Their soap section is about 3' long and that's it, their candle crafts are lacking too. I am quite unhappy that Michaels, in general, is now pushing their own brand of polymer clay called Craftsmart and Craftsmart Premium. Don't but either for any professional pieces. Because they are pushing their brand, they are limiting the professional brands like Premo, Fimo and Kato. They still have a big selection of Sculpey III, which is also sub-par. All too often, I end up leaving, not finding what I...
Read moreMy fellow craft enthusiasts, let me be clear: after over 100 visits to Michael’s Craft, I have yet to see the owner himself—Michael. If you put your name on the store, why not come out and say hello? It’s not just disappointing—it’s downright disrespectful to the community that depends on this establishment.
And then there’s the issue of our basic right to a decent shopping experience. The shopping carts here—this so-called “shopping cart roulette”—are in a state of disrepair. One minute you’re gliding smoothly through the aisles, and the next, you’re being dragged uncontrollably, as if the laws of physics themselves are conspiring against you. We deserve better than a system where even the tools we rely on are failing us.
At least the coupons remain a small token of relief, a reminder that even in our most trying times, there is a glimmer of hope. But let’s be honest: if Michael is going to remain hidden, the rest of us must stand together and demand accountability—from our craft store and from those who choose to remain in...
Read moreStaff is almost never friendly enough or at all, at just about the many, many Michael's™ I have been too. This location is no exception. Ask a worker for help and you're likely to realize quickly, your interruption of their shelving & stocking items was very inconvenient. I was told they do not carry resin planters, they were an aisle away...I just wanted more options. Then when I asked about other materials - she grunted and mumbled (not because of her mask) to the effect- what we have is out over there, the asile I was asking the question from. Wow, thanks- I feel so much better about the $40.oo in items I had in my hand , ready to purchase.... Some times things like frames off the shelves can be a deal on just the right one at a special size; otherwise- overpriced and under served is how I'd sum up the...
