• 12/21/24 Update again - had to downgrade again - food good/order taking not so. So now it’s MY fault that I didn’t say San Marzano brick oven and instead got San Marzano square! Last time I ordered I just said San Marzano nothing more and received correct pie/brick oven, even though it had slid all over the place during delivery/sloppy but didn’t say anything. Wow - I just don’t get it.

Great pizza! The best. Nice thin crust. Good amount of toppings if you order that way. Awesome sauce and good quality cheese. Love it it with peppers and onions. Margarita pie is amazing.

Adding to this review 3/9/24 starting to see a lot of disorganization. Wrong order delivered as they said it was person there didn’t know a GrandMa pie is not a Margarita pie. When it arrived box was very heavy - unusual. Didn’t open it up until driver was gone and it wasn’t what I ordered. Should have been Margarita as I like think crust. Another pie order asked for well done - it sure was! Burnt plus cold. Now another delivery came -driver arrives gives me the box said it was a cash order. Cash?! I used same credit card I always use with tip. Not liking what’s going on. Hope it doesn’t continue. Stopped in today for the first time. I was greeted by the owner behind the counter. Super nice man and he didn’t rush me on. He actually spent some time to chat with me. I ordered a slice of every pie. Every single one was beyond exceptional!! My favorite was the grandma. My wife loved the vodka Sicilian. I would have to say that this place is absolutely hands down one of my favorites. Oh, and the tomato’s he uses are top shelf. You can taste the difference! Low acidity, and very vibrant that burst with flavor! I can’t say enough about this place. Now, the most important!! This man gives back, and gives back allot to the community in so many ways. Mateo's pizza is always awesome. But this time, we had a large order with a lot of special instructions including delivery to Monmouth Battlefield Park for our event. Not only were the pizzas delivered on time, hot and fresh, but they included paper plates and napkins and a separate little pizza cutter for the gluten free pie. This was such a thoughtful personal touch which made it that much easier & safer for our friends to enjoy their food. They also were very accommodating with our special orders for our guests who could not have the tomato sauce, and other guests who could not have dairy.
