8 of us were disrespected and had our time wasted, including the two people who came in behind us. We were all 10 made to wait at the door for 15 minutes while workers walked passed, look directly at us multiple times, laughed amongst each other, talked while playing around and ignored us completely. There were only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant with people sitting at them and a few people at the bar which got more attention than we ever did. We would’ve went to eat across the street but we wanted to give the staff the benefit of the doubt, which was a complete mistake. The Taco Bell/ Pizza Hut would’ve given us better service hands down. Being from Toledo, we expect bad service and rude workers when we’re home but compared to Fremont, that’s supposed to be so much better than where we’re from, the Toledoans blew them out of the water. We shouldn’t even have had to pay for the food after the horrible experience we had, which based on other reviews, is a mutual feeling. We got our own menus to look at food while we waited to be seated because we were starving and wanted to make it as easy as possible for the incompetent staff to take our orders, which they still weren’t able to do. We asked to be seated at the large c shaped table, the girl went back to the kitchen for 3 minutes to “ask someone else if that was okay” and it ended up being HER section. She expressed to us that she was scared to take our order because of how large our table was so she was probably trying to push us off on someone else. We ordered 3 Classic Combo Appetizers and 1 order of the boneless wings appetizer- for 8 people, that’s it. We asked for lemons when we got our water which we got after we all finished our waters. We requested a pitcher of water so she didn’t have to refill a single cup and didn’t even refill our pitcher of water once for the 8 of us to all have enough water to wash the food we ordered down. We asked for one cup of blue cheese dressing, multiple times, that was brought 20 minutes after the chicken was already eaten and we weren’t told that dressings were $.50 extra- probably the waitress’ attempt to get a bit of a bigger tip. The chicken was full of tendons, it was dry and the tortilla chips were dug from the bottom of the barrel. We got there at 9:06 and didn’t get our bill and pay until after 10:40 which is totally absurd considering all the time had nothing to do with the amount of us there was to serve considering the small amount of work she had to do for us. The waitress moved slower and slower as the time went on, clearly trying to make her shift go by faster, leaving us at the end of our meal for at least 25 minutes or more without coming to the table once. We had to ask for our bill and when we left it on the table, she ran for the first time all night because she knew how awful the entire experience was for us all and she was scared we weren’t going to pay. Hopefully the staff is talked to about all the bad reviews, the horrible service they’re being paid to give and their attentiveness to customers and whatever else needs to be said or done to get them to do their job and not be lazy, rude and forgetful. Get it together...
Read moreAbsolute birthday ruiner. I had my first try of applebees the day before my birthday, they food poisoned us. The waiters were nice, and the place looked decent, but by 8pm the food poisoning started to kick in while i was seeing some of my family, I literally went to their bathroom and puked in the toilet, with their cat accidentally witnessing it. I asked my parent if i could go back to the hotel (since we weren’t from here) and he approved. When I got back, I needed to use the toilet very bad but it was occupied. So I went downstairs. And guess what? I sharted out the entire grand canyon. I puked out a green shrek color in the trash and when I went back to the room, I was making noises in the bathroom indicating all the pain- Then i went to shower because my familys house i was staying at was nasty- I was so weakened by the poison I had to sit in the shower which is probably not what a normal person would ever do. Then i went to sleep. And then like 6 times i woke up randomly and puked in a bin next to my bed. It kept waking my brother and dad up. Even when i drank water, i just puked it out. 4:40: i woke all of us up and randomly started the day with a chaotic throw up. I was so weak that I went back to sleep, thankfully i stopped puking my guts out, but then when i woke up , i was literally dehydrated along with my brother who was also food poisoned and went through the same thing as me. That day, was my birthday. My dad had gotten tickets to Cedar Point, for 300$ , but my brother couldn’t move , I could, but i had to sit at a few points. The trip was cancelled after I threw up because of the poisoning. And then my birthday was ruined. And not to mention, I didn’t eat anything all day, because I just felt really weird and sick. Next day which is today , Im still sick, and i cant stand, and can barely move, and im heavily breathing. I still haven’t ate anything other than a random pastry. So basically applebees ruined my birthday with some food poisoning....
Read moreFood was good but the main course came too quickly, right after we got our salad. service was good except after he brought the check and said no rush, he came by every few minutes to ask if we were ready to pay the bill. I finally had to say something to him. We don't just linger because I realize turnover helps his earnings but I hate it when the server tries to rush me. Didn't leave my usual tip because of this.
Decided to try it again on 12-15-17 @ 8:10PM. First off I was met with a greeter who was rude. I requested to sit a booth that was empty in a warmer part of the restaurant but she wouldn't allow us to sit there and sat us in a cold area. I was freezing during the meal. My wife and I used to eat here a few times a week and am starting to remember why we stopped frequenting this restaurant. Luckily we had a great server, Kat, who turned this visit completely around. Food was good and with wife just having surgery, Kat went above and beyond to help get food prepared so my wife could eat. Management needs to address rudeness of their greeting staff and reward such good service staff.

Applebees continues its down hill slide. It's no wonder they are so close to going under as a company. When they run out of food, you dont get informed until they are ready to bring you meal to the table. The attitude we received from the "manager" was "that's the way it is and we cant offer any type of compensation for your inconvinence" Steak was over cooked,...
