I never thought Erik's Deli was the type of establishment that would merit 5 stars from me but with the friendly and courteous service along with the huge fresh salad that I received, it would be totally unfair to give anything less. Lettuce, greens and veggies were so fresh with no leftover lettuce from yesterday (like some delis end up doing) and the portion was quite generous. The dressings are better than your average bottled dressings which can really make or break the yey or ney on any salad.
I had the house green salad and it was filled with so many fresh veggies, (sprouts, red pepper slices, chickpeas, cucumbers, red onion, topped off with croutons..the works!) it was such a hearty n' healthy lunch that I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I was. I also went back and bought my 14 year old picky-eater-son his own salad because after "just wanting to try it" he kept eating mine.
I would come hear again for a soup and...
Read moreI love Eriik's and I am a frequent visitor to the Milpitas shop. First time at this one, Its a little out of the way, its facing the target at the hub across the street, same building as the panda express. Ive never had issues with their food, there is always an exception. This would be it. The place was dirty, and a bit dingy and I mean beyond the quaint rustic look that the shops use for their decor. The tables were clean, plus for that, the floor was in dire need of a sweep. My son, husband and I get to the counter and the person taking the order gave us a sneer as if he/she had caught a wiff of something foul. She took our order and it came out correct and rather quickly. We ordered soup, no bread, it was stone cold. We got ignored and they both stayed in the back the entire 30m we were there. I suggest the owner of this 'independently owned and operated' store talk to his staff about being...
Read moreToday was a great day for hot soup, salad, and sandwiches because it was raining cats and dogs. We could barely see the road while on the freeway as we drove down to pick up some food at Erik's Deli Cafe. There were a few people eating inside, but we didn't have to wait in a line to order our food. I ended up choosing a new item which I haven't tried before which was the Chicken Wrangler Wrap. The rest of the family ordered house salad, Tomato Basil Bisque soup, Pilgrim's Progress sandwich, and Isle of Capri sandwich. The cashier was polite and took our order. He didn't ask too many questions. They made our food pretty quick and we were on our way with our to go order. The Chicken Wrangler Wrap was a warm sandwich/wrap which I didn't expect. It also had a lot of sauce. The taste was OK, but if I were to get it again, I think I would ask them to go lite on the sauce. My family enjoyed...
