5 Stars – An Outstanding Experience at Honest!

From the moment we walked into Honest, we knew we were in for a special experience. The warm, welcoming atmosphere instantly made us feel at home. The restaurant is vibrant yet cozy, with a lively energy that perfectly complements the delicious food they serve. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating a space where guests can relax and truly enjoy their meal.

Service: Exceptional! I cannot speak highly enough about the service here, especially thanks to Harsh. From start to finish, Harsh went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was flawless. She was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely cared that we had everything we needed. Her professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail made a lasting impression. I would absolutely recommend asking for Harsh when visiting Honest — she elevates the experience to a whole new level. Five-star service without a doubt!

Food: Absolutely Incredible! The food at Honest is hands down some of the best Indian cuisine I’ve had. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavor, beautifully presented, and made fresh to order. Two standout items deserve a special mention: • Schezwan Noodles – 100% recommend! These were phenomenal — perfectly cooked noodles tossed in a bold, spicy, and savory sauce that was addictive. The balance of flavors was spot-on, and the spice level was just right. A must-try! • Pav Bhaji – 100% recommend as well! It’s hard to find Pav Bhaji that tastes like true Mumbai street food, but Honest nails it. The bhaji was rich, buttery, and packed with robust flavor, and the pav (bread rolls) were toasted to perfection. It was pure comfort on a plate.

We also tried their Masala Soda, and it was absolutely refreshing — the perfect tangy and spiced complement to the rich dishes. Their Oreo Shake was another delightful treat — thick, creamy, and full of that nostalgic Oreo goodness. It’s clear they put just as much care into their beverages as they do their food.

Everything else we ordered also exceeded expectations, but these items alone are worth making a trip for.

Atmosphere: Welcoming and Energetic The ambiance at Honest strikes the perfect balance between lively and inviting. Whether you’re coming with family, friends, or even for a casual solo meal, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to sit back and savor every moment. It’s clean, well-organized, and buzzing with positive energy — you can tell that the staff takes pride not only in the food but in the entire experience they provide.

Final Thoughts: Honest is a gem that delivers on every level — service, food, and atmosphere. It’s clear that they are committed to excellence, and it shows in every detail. Harsh in particular made our visit unforgettable, and I’ll be recommending Honest to everyone I know. Whether you’re craving mouth-watering Indian comfort food or just looking for a welcoming place to enjoy a great meal, this is the place to go.

Highly recommend and can’t...

Pls avoid this restaurant, they are fraud and misuse our Credit card.. I had extremely worst experience on 6/17/24.

We came in group of 10 people with 4 kids , I order from table using phone app scanning the code, while submitting the order, I had added 10% gratuity because it was self-serve order service, they gave plastic cup to fill up water cups and during food time I went to front casher to order 5 times, I had requested them to keep my account open so I don't want to pay again and again for each order, so by end of all order, they added 18% gratuity on top of my 10% gratuity already paid in 1st order because they had access to my credit card from 1st order from app. So total they end of taking 28% gratuity without my approval on my credit card, I spoke to Lady manager which she didn't care and connect me to owner and off course he listen and did nothing

2nd issue, we had order Fried rice and Veg Manchurian which typical mixed together while eating , they gave me fried rice right away and gave Veg Manchurian 40 minutes later, and half of fried rice was already finished by my group, I was waiting for 40 mins for Veg Manchurian, I told that server that my rice is already flat cold, he suggested if I can re-make for you, I said yes go ahead and they came back in 90 seconds with same rice heated in microwave it, this is hygiene issue , we eat some rice and he took it in kitchen, came back after heating, Total desi way of running business with attitude (Sab Chalta hai) and they need 28% gratuity.

Lady Manager was acting like we are bagger who comes to eat food and they are doing huge favor by giving us food, If Honest franchise is reviewing this comment, then pls look at check no 45 at 8:45PM on 6/17/24

This was my 1st time with Honest, I guess never stepping again in any Honest...

Visited on a Friday evening, just past 8:45 PM. There were already people waiting when I arrived, and I spent a few minutes figuring out where to sign in. Eventually, I found the tablet, signed up, and received a message with my queue position and a tracking link. The wait was about 30 minutes.

When our turn finally came, others nearby jumped ahead and took the table meant for us. Fortunately, a few tables opened up around 9:15–9:30 PM, so we managed to get seated without too much more delay.

Service was disorganized from the start. There were no clear instructions on how to order. We ended up scanning a QR code on the table number card and placed our order that way. We assumed water would be brought out after ordering—but it wasn't. We had to ask, and even then, the service was clumsy: one person brought a pitcher, another brought glasses, but no one coordinated.

Our food came out in a strange order—the last item we ordered, falooda, arrived first. Next came the Katappa sandwich, which had three layers: aloo masala, mixed veggies, and what seemed to be a light cheese spread. We followed that with Hakka noodles and paneer Manchurian.

The only highlight was the soft paneer. Everything else was underwhelming. The Manchurian gravy was watered down and lacked salt, and by the time the last of our food arrived, we were more frustrated than hungry. We ate quickly and left.

Overall impression: Likely not returning. The food was average at best, service was chaotic, and the atmosphere was far...

Extremely poor service. Pav bhaji was good, but noddles are pathetic, completely uncooked veggie. The worst thing, they denied to serve us even when we were already seated and served us half of the food. One server tells us, we cannot serve you the ordered food because our kitchen got closed at 9.30, while online it says it’s closed at 9.45. Update: About capturing the complete picture, here is my order screenshot. Order placed at 9:40pm & this is my add-on order as I was already in the restaurant and placed my first order before 9:30pm and ordered food for the kids (2 yr & a 5 yr old). We came here because it said open till 9:45 & because it would be good for kids. SO MUCH FOR CALLING YOURSELF “HONEST”. It seems empathy is a myth these days & restaurants being specifically rude. I think we interacted with the manager or the owner - not sure but they showed a different face while we were at the restaurant & they were being sorry for the inconvenience. But this paints a different picture. Again, honest enough? Talking about discussion going towards catering, the ordering process is via the app using QR code-which was happening in the background as my husband was ordering it. Also, there were others preparing & serving the orders. So, instead of giving reasons you could’ve right up owned it. Anyway, it is what it is. P.s. the noodles for sure were the worst ever. It was veggies (raw onions, excuse me?) & namesake of noodles. No thank you, I’ll skip this restaurant.

Nestled in the heart of Fremont, California, Honest Indian Vegetarian Restaurant is a delightful addition to the culinary scene. Upon stepping inside, I was greeted by an inviting atmosphere and a friendly staff eager to assist. Opting for the Chili Garlic Noodles during my lunch visit, I found myself transported to a realm of tantalizing flavors and aromatic spices. The dish itself was a harmonious blend of heat from the chili and the robustness of garlic, creating a symphony for the taste buds. Each bite was a journey of culinary delight, leaving me craving for more even after the plate was empty. Aside from the delectable fare, the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience, adding an extra layer of warmth to the already inviting ambiance. What truly sets Honest Indian Vegetarian Restaurant apart is its freshness and authenticity. As a new player in the area, it brings a refreshing twist to traditional Indian cuisine, catering to both the adventurous palate and the staunch traditionalist. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Fremont and in need of a culinary adventure, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Honest Indian Vegetarian Restaurant. Your taste buds will thank you, and you might just find a new favorite spot in town.
